Extra Easy Going Back for More ??

I did something last night which made me question myself …
We had a lovely comforting cottage pie for tea with parsnips, broccoli and peas on the side. Later on I had a Thirsty Thursday glass of wine which gave me the munchies. :party0036:

Instead of having a cheese and biscuits (which I would have pre SW) I had a couple of mouthfuls of the cottage pie – should I syn this??

I personally wouldn't as if you are EE then it's basically free food you are munching on. I would see it as a positive, as look at what you would of had before. But I completely see how you feel it's bad as I have done it before and felt guilty and I have no idea why - just a change of mindset is needed :) xx

Yep, agreeing with everyone else that you definitely don't need to syn it. It's recommended that you reach for superfree foods first, but that doesn't make the free foods any less free :) I think you did well to stay off the cheese and biccies when you had the munchies!

Yup, free is free, it's there to be eaten :)

it depends.. if the cottage pie had 7 syns per serving for example, then you need to account for those syns ( or at least a proportion of them for a couple of spoonfulls )..
if the cottage pie was syn free howerver then no.. no need to syn any of it, you could eat it all if you wanted..

ah, good point Coljack. I was just assuming the cottage pie was SW friendly and free in the fist place. Good thinking - just shows how easy it is to set someone off on the wrong track, with only good intentions :-S
