Ice cream

Just toying with ideas for different ways to have the shakes - has anybody tried to put one in an ice cream maker?

If no one has done it, I'm going to give it a go tomorrow afternoon as a treat after WI.

You can make the shakes into a lolly :)

U have to consume within 15 mins of mixing, no idea how long an ice cream maker takes but jus thought I'd mention.
Hope it tastes scrummy if u can do it :)

I'm thinking it is quite a small quantity of liquid, so as long as the bowl is frozen overnight it should take much longer than 10 minutes to get something close to ice cream.

I've only got chocolate shake left :D

Excellent, mmm choc ice cream, drooling at the thought!

That sounds amazing. Hope it goes well! X

Ooo yes I'd like to know how you get on. Mmm ice cream sounds fab and refreshing!

Right, I made a shake up like normal and added a teaspoon of coffee powder, shoved it into the ice cream maker and let it stir it up for ten minutes.

It tastes nice, but it is more the consistancy of sorbet - I would definatley do it again, but I would make the shake up like a mousse instead.

Another plus side is I'm sitting here eating and typing, but really struggling to finish the ice cream - it makes up quite a bit:17729:

Wow. May have to borrow an icecream maker.
