Canned soup

I have nearly just had a heart attack! I saw a tin of broccoli & Stilton soup in the cupboard, thought I'll have that as a little snack! Erm no! Not only did it look like vomit and taste like what i can only imagine feet cheese might taste like! 9 syns for a measly tin, I only had about 2 mouthfuls before discovering this so that went straight down the sink!

Note to self don't eat tinned soup willy nilly, I only normally buy them to cook with, like bake chicken in them etc but not worth the syns! And would taste rough!

ready made soup is so not worth the syns, for one it doesnt qualify for any free food allowance, and it never tastes as good as homemade.

Does anyone know the syn value for Baxters Deli inspired sweet potato&chana dahl lentils with chickpeas soup please? Can't find it anywhere on the net ....per 400g bowl - 308 cals, 7.2g fat (sats0.4g) and it's packed with veg. Any good?

if it is a soup, then it doesnt qualify for any free food allowance, so having veg in it makes no different I am afraid..

So you just divide the given calories by 20 for your syn value for that particular measurement as given under the nutritional info.

So if that particular one is 308 calories for 400g

that totals 15.5 syns for 400g.

Thanks Britmum - I don't think i'll be bothering with it at that many syns lol!
