Tried SS+ weight loss stopped

Hi,

Tried SS+ this week and it has really put a block on any weight loss! I've been really good and had no blips, I've got 3 days left before weigh in, can I go back to SS? I'm not even in ketosis anymore

SS+ just isn't for me at all :(

Also could the bars be having an effect on my weight?

Cheers xx

What were you doing for SS+ - was it the extra shake or having a meal. It really shouldn't take you out of ketosis even if you are very carb sensitive (i am and survived on my 810 AAm week). Were you 100% accurate with your measurements etc? What did you eat? Are there any other factors that might have made a difference TOTM? Not drinking enough water etc?

I find if I eat more than 3 bars a week then my losses drop off by 1 or 2 lbs.

You can drop back to SS anytime - it should only be a case of cutting the meal/extra shake out

hmm, I am on my second week of SS but had been planning to step up to SS+ for two weeks after this. Not worth it if the weight loss stops. Can't see how though, on SS+ the calorie intake is still very low....

Hiya Fatima, my weight loss dropped down 2lbs the week I did SS+ then I dropped 5lbs the week I did SS I think it was just my own body adjusting to the change don't let me put you off x

Okay guess I can always try and see how it goes. I miss eating. Not pizza and burgers but fruit and vegetables. Juicy and nutitious.. Thats what gets me down with the powder stuff. I have always enjoyed healthy food , my weight gain is due to all the extras... Wine, chocolate, nice cheese etc. I'm a gourmand.

Yep completely agree it's not having fruit at the moment that gets me down! I could murder some strawberries and bananas! lol keep strong xx

tday im gonna do 100 percent drink loads of water and stick to my 3 products i had a good loss last week but yesterday everything went down hill just felt i wanted to pig out even tho i wasnt that hungry? i think i just mist the comfort food?

Nothing's wrong. That's entirely normal for a week 2 loss. You'll probably have a slightly bigger loss next week, but average weight loss from here on in will be 1.4 to 1.8kg per week.

That's still a lot quicker than you'd get say on WW or SW! :)

Thank you Lily for your comments. But I think the average is very low for the suffering with CD.
I was expecting more loss average :(

Depends how much you've got to lose, really. After the first couple of weeks (the losses are good to start with because you're losing glycogen and water), the averages vary.

If you've got 1-2 stones to lose (that's 6.3kg - 12.7kg), you'll probably lose at an average rate of 2-3lbs a week (that's 0.9kg - 1.4kg per week).

If you've got 3-4 stones to lose (that's 19kg - 25.4kg) you'll probably lose at an average rate of 3-4lbs a week (that's 1.4kg - 1.8kg per week).

If you've got more than 5 stones to lose (or 31.8kg), your losses per week might be more, say 4-6lbs a week (1.8kg - 2.7kg per week).

This diet is good, but it can't perform miracles. You wouldn't lose much more weight per week even if you ate absolutely nothing.

On sole source - 3 products - you consume an average of 450 calories per day. That's only 3,150 calories a week. You have to burn around 3,500 calories to lose a pound. As I said, you couldn't lose weight much faster even if you ate nothing.

It's never fast enough, is it? :):sigh:

And the other thing is that it never comes off in nice even weekly chunks. No, you'll lose 2 pounds (0.9kg) one week, 3 pounds (1.4kg) the next, maybe even nothing the next week (yes - nothing! - even if you've been 100%!) - but then you might lose 6 pounds (2.7kg) in week four.

It all evens out in the end. You just have to keep your eye on the bigger picture. Goodness knows, I know how hard that is to do!

I went to my cambridge consultant it was horrible. I just lost half kilo fat and gain half Kg muscles
I am having my period this week since Sunday and was expecting more loss.

I have more than 15 Kg to lose thus my weekly weight loss should be faster.

Any justification . Thx

i have done ss+ from week 2 and have lost 37lbs in 9 weeks so its not all bad :D
