Depends how much you've got to lose, really. After the first couple of weeks (the losses are good to start with because you're losing glycogen and water), the averages vary.
If you've got 1-2 stones to lose (that's 6.3kg - 12.7kg), you'll probably lose at an average rate of 2-3lbs a week (that's 0.9kg - 1.4kg per week).
If you've got 3-4 stones to lose (that's 19kg - 25.4kg) you'll probably lose at an average rate of 3-4lbs a week (that's 1.4kg - 1.8kg per week).
If you've got more than 5 stones to lose (or 31.8kg), your losses per week might be more, say 4-6lbs a week (1.8kg - 2.7kg per week).
This diet is good, but it can't perform miracles. You wouldn't lose much more weight per week even if you ate absolutely nothing.
On sole source - 3 products - you consume an average of 450 calories per day. That's only 3,150 calories a week. You have to burn around 3,500 calories to lose a pound. As I said, you couldn't lose weight much faster even if you ate nothing.
It's never fast enough, is it?
:sigh:
And the other thing is that it never comes off in nice even weekly chunks. No, you'll lose 2 pounds (0.9kg) one week, 3 pounds (1.4kg) the next, maybe even nothing the next week (yes -
nothing! - even if you've been 100%!) - but then you might lose 6 pounds (2.7kg) in week four.
It all evens out in the end. You just have to keep your eye on the bigger picture. Goodness knows, I know how hard that is to do!
