Iv been on this 3 weeks now but iv never been to the counselling as there is no men in my area doing it should it still be costing me £66 per week. Also would 3stone off in this time frame be right iv only just used shakes and a bar everyday and drinking at least the 4 litres of water every day

well done on completing 3 weeks and 3 stone is fantastic! unfortunately the counselling is free as when you reach goal you can go to the counselling sessions and not pay. is there no other classes in your area? i really think the counselling is so valuable.
your doing so much better with the water than i am, i struggle with 1.5litres per day. tut tut i should know better esp withy weigh in 2moro. what day do you weigh? xx

3 stone off in 3 weeks!!!!! Wow that is amazing!!! Well done you and without counselling! I too agree the counselling sessions are so valuable, are you getting much 121 time during your WI? Well done you!!!

I weigh every day at the min so I need to throw my scales out of the house or break them but I think I need the reasurance that it's working hopefully there will be a few guys start so I can get to the sessions as everyone here really looks forward to them

I usually go in get my packs n straight back out. Iv not even seen a counsellor only on first night as she is never there on a Monday when I go. Iv got most of my help through this. Do I have to go to doctors every month or wat happens

you should get a form every 4 wks for a blood pressure check, some people go th their docs others go to their local asda pharmacy as its just a blood pressure check. ive not had mine this time tho.... fingers crossed as my doc wasnt happy when i said i wanted to restart lol. im hoping i hit target before she realises... hehe xx

...and drinking at least the 4 litres of water every day
The counselling is a key part of what makes LL work, and your £66 is partially paying for that, so you really should try and take part in it... if possible... :)

The idea is to not just lose the weight, but maintain your weight loss... doing the counselling sessions and then Route To Management can help this greatly, for some people...

Regarding the water, if you are happy with 4lts, then continue... however, the guidelines have changed and these days it's recommended you drink between 1.5lts -2.5lts... It was proved that drinking much more was not necessarily of any benefit in terms of weight loss. However, some people find more helps theirs, whilst others find it can inhibit theirs. The key is to drink to thirst... :)

xx

Wow 3 stone, I have weightloss envy lol, seriously though that is amazing!

I think the counselling sessions are brilliant, I think its a real shame you are not getting to take part in them, your counsellor should arrange 1-2-1 time as its hardly your fault there are no men in your area doing it.

You can get support from here, not the same but it might keep you motivated until you do get the counselling. x

Yep!
Like the girls said. The counselling in crucial if not the most important part of LL.
Definitely speak to you LLC and if they can't accommodate you have a look for another group in your area.
Losing the weight is the easy part. Even easier if you're a bloke because you do lose a lot so quickly.
The real hard work begins after. The maintenance.
I'd urge you to equipt yourself with enough knowledge and strength you can get from the counselling to allow you to keep the weight off forever once you come off the plan.
Good luck and we are all here if you need us :)

3 stone!!! I wish I was a man! Well, maybe not in actual fact, but still...

Mags speaks wise words as usual - its really worth doing the group work and if you can find another counsellor reasonably near to you I would definitely recommend switching. My LL centre is run by a couple so he takes the guys classes and she takes the laydeez - you're not anywhere near Bromley by any chance? :)

Well done Andy, wish I could lose 3 stone that quick  You're doing great. Think the meetings definitely help :p Mx

Sounds like you're doing something right Andy. You've obviously got the hang of it.
There are other guys who do LL, but bot many on here at the moment. We go through phases. A year or so ago we had a guys thread which was good. We've probably got a few lurkers!
Keep it up. You are doing great.
How much do you want to lose?

Anything is possible if you put your mind to it x

I know a guy that lost 23 stone in 10 months! It is very much possible!
NOTHING is impossible! :)
Good luck!
