A word of warning..

do not put "easy" products ( such as "easy chili" or "easy garlic" into a hot wok or pan..
they are stored in vinegar and that boils off when you put them into a hot dry pan.. not nice to breathe in...

also, same advice for ground peper.. make sure it only goes in / onto the wet ingredients, if it hits the hot pan it burns and has a similar effect to pepper spray..

This sounds like advice from a man who knows ;)

Ooops - sounds like someone learnt the hard way!! ;)

Thanks for the heads-up

xx

Both are free, but chilli will still catch your throat when it hits the pan, even if it's the real thing.

You have just solved a mystery for me! I bought some easy chilli a couple of weeks ago and whenever I have used it we have had to open all windows and doors downstairs as the air was really difficult to breath in, never actually occured to me that there was a link between the two, not sure what I thought was causing it! x
