Rib Sauce

Hi last night I made the rib sauce which is in the S W 100 sauces book. It was sooo nice poured over chicken thighs. Could have eaten double. Just thought I would tell everyone who has the book. So yummy:):)
 
Sounds yum - would it be really cheeky to ask you to post the recipe, please pretty please?!
 
Yes no problem, I am a bit worried about posting recipes from S W books but I suppose a lot of people have done this so here goes. Hope you enjoy

1 onion finely chopped
1 stick of celery finely chopped
low calorie cooking spray
400g can of chopped tomatoes
1 level tbsp tomato puree
2 tsp mustard powder
1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
2 tsp fresh lemon juice ( I used jif no prob)
artificial sweetner to taste
salt and freshly ground black pepper
Heat a pan sprayed with low calorie cooking spray and saute the onion and celery over a low heat for 5 mins. Stir in the tomatoes, bring to the boil reduce the heatr and simmer for a further 5 mins.
Add the tom puree, mustard powder, worcestershire sauce and lemon juice and simmer over a very low heat for 20 mins, stirring occasionally. (I found it dried up a bit so added some passata and it was done after 10) When it has thickened stir in the artificial sweetner season to taste and pour over grilled meat on a red day or corn on the cob or sweet potato on a green day. It is totally syn free and very very nice. Oh by the way I left out the celery as I dont like it, it was still delish. Hope you like it let me know how you go on, yum yum.
 
It is very nice and tangy, easy to make with chunks of tomatoes in it. I suppose if you prefered it smooth you could blend it.Let me know how you go on with it.:eatdrink051::eatdrink051:
 
Yeah, I'd probably give a whizz up with a hand blender to make it smooth. I've got a couple of pork loins need using up, so I think I'm going to slice them up and bake them in this sauce till they go all gooey. YUM! Closest thing to ribs I'm going to get on SW, I reckon :)

I'll let you know how it goes :D
 
What I would do is almost cook the pork for the full time make the sauce then pour it over them for the last 5 mins otherwise it may dry out too much in the oven. Glad you like the sound of it. Hope its to your taste.

No secret from me, just so much of it to lose that I think I scared the first stone off by shocking my body into action! I do have lots of red days and try to drink my water everyday but now I think the hard work will commence!!

Had it again tonight. I did stuffed mushrooms in the oven with HEB extra lean mince and garlic and cheese HEA over the top. I had extra H E coz I am doing red/green plans only. It was lush and I am so full. Used the big mushrooms then poured the sauce over them and tucked in. Really full now.
