Hello

Well i'm not really new but started posting here a few days ago.
I thought I would post an hello thread as since I started posting my diary I've had one response (which if I'm honest I've posted on forums before and never seem to get many replies)

So since I am new and people don't know who I am to reply I thought I would introduce myself.

I'm Vicky, I'm a teacher and live at home with my folks (still lol) I've been dieting for 10 years. I'm at a weight now where I am comfortable, I can wear nice things and think 'yeah I look ok' but I still would like to shift those final extra pounds 1) for my friends wedding in July where I am a bridesmaid and 2) for my first holiday abroad in 7 years in July.

I love Slimming World and its slowly introduced me to the world of cooking and healthy food. Of course I have my moments where I fall off the wagon but who doesn't it!

Anyways I won't babble on anymore.

Fell off wagon a bit tonight! Have enjoyed updating this week but have found now I've ran out of enthusiasm when I'm talking to myself. Think I might stick to browsing like before. X

Welcome to minimims, I am quite new here myself so am still finding my way around but there is so much useful info on here it is amazing.

Why don't you join in with one of the weekly weigh-in forums to get to know people. i joined in with the Sunday weighers a few weeks ago.

:( Dont give up posting, like Jane says, why dont you try joining a team or the weigh-in threads as they can be a little bit more close knit than the general forum as there are less people involved? ps you have been thanked three times, so posters have obviously taken note of your posts :D

hello, i havent been on here very long myself only about a month or so, its a good way of getting ideas and things.
my name is karen im a proud soldiers wife and mother to 4 kids (stressful job)
i seem to have hit a wall with my losses and cant go no further my heads all over the place and my diet well thats hasnt so much as hit a wall as gone out the window, im hoping i get myself sorted soon ish as i put on 1lb last week and i havent even followed plan this week so expecting another gain this week why i cant get my head back into it i dont know maybes i'll start posting a food plan on here see if that spurs me on or something
 
Hi Vicky! Sometime the forum is quieter than other so don't give up posting yet. A lot of people don't visit the food diary section as it is really just for people to keep track of what they are eating. Now you've posted in the main forum there will be no stopping you.

And don't falling off the wagon - it happens to us all at some point. Just climb back on board and you'll soon be in that bridesmaid dress.

Hello vicky! Ah, a fellow teacher! What do you teach? Good luck with your SW journey, sounds like you're doing well, why don't you start a weight loss diary, that has really kept me in check and I find it helps after a stressful day with the kids!
 
Thankyou for the kind words! As I don't go to group it's nice to have the support elsewhere.
I'm off to aldi today to top up on fruit and veg to keep me going for the weekend.
