Hi guys. Just started CD 2day and are new to this forum so please bear with me! I got weighed yesterday @ counsellors house - 14.6 stone, this is the heaviest I've ever been. My target weight is 10 stone. The problem is the beginning of March and the beginning of April I have weekends away organised with family and friends - I reali want 2 stick 2 this 100% but know that these 2 weekends drinking and eating will be unavoidable - has anyone got any tips? Thanks for reading!

hi hun and good luck, no real tips about eating as im only on day 3. But welcome, this site is a lifesaver xx Keep us update on how your doing

p.s you may be better posting in the main forum, its a bit busier x

It depends how determined you are and how much you want it. At the end of the day there will always be plenty of reasons why you (as in anyone not you personally) can't stick to CD and it is down to you how much of an excuse you want to justify eating to yourself. You will never find a time when you can have a completely clear run at it. (sorry that sounds harsh but my brain is tired and I can't think of a nicer way to say it!) I have stuck to SS 100% since 28 September - All through birthdays Christmas, New Year etc. At the end of the day I felt it was more important to lose the weight and stick with it than to eat. I know several of the girls who came off plan over Christmas have really struggled to get going again. For me it was easier to say 'No I can't' than to have to make sensible choices - people understood no, but they would have said just 1 won't hurt etc if I had been eating anything.

However, If you do decide to go ahead and eat have a look at the 810 or 1000 plan guidelines - if you can stick to green/white veggies and white meat/fish and skip the drinks and puddings etc it might not have too bad an effect. By going up a plan or 2 and sticking to that you might have more control over the situation.

The reason so many put on weight after CD is because they go straight back to old eating habits (I have been a serial dieter - although not CD - for 20 years!). ONce you stop SS or any of the plans thats not the end of it - its teaching yourself to eat sensibly from then on it - so these weekends could be a good start for that.
