After 7 months off

I havent exercised for over 7 months now. When I did exercise I'd do an hour a day of cardio DVD's.

Should I break back into it slowly or go the whole hog and do an hour a day again?

I am going to be doing this much exercise to loose weight, once lost I will do less to maintain. Can I have your thoughts please?

go into it slowly at first. gradually build it up to doing the hour a day :)
maybe not every day to begin with either, every other day maybe?

if someone had said to me when i first started gym that ill be working out 6 days week for a min of 2 hours id have laughed in their face.... but i worked up to it. started off with one aerobics class a week, then 2, then added attack ect.... all gradually.

I started on the 20 mins a day 3/4 days a week last night.

I am hoping that by beginning the exercise I will start to see the benefits of it and do more and more. I was at the point where all I wanted to do was exercise.... and I loved it!

You'll soon see a difference. There's something (I think) called muscle memory so that you never really start back at day 1 again. But it's sensible to venture slowly at the start, you'd be well miffed if you pulled something!

yeah, i pulled a muscle in my right arm, and left shoulder. i didnt let myself rest it though and still did my attack classes through it, painful stuff. its all healed now but listen to your body

I'd probably build it up every week. I was the same. Had about 7 months off the gym and when I went back 4 weeks ago I couldn't do nearly as much as I used to but now Im starting to get my energy back and feels good.

Just been to zumba for the first time ever and loved it!! lol

You might scare yourself off if you try to do an hour a day? xx
