Gullivers World - Matlock Bath

Morning guys, just wondered if any of you had been to Gullivers World, Matlock Bath. Looks good online but after doing a google review some are coming back looking iffy!!

We're off to Birmingham on Friday and it looks good for the kids - any responses would be really appreciated, J :)

I took mine years ago and they loved it. Bet its much better now though. Cant really remember much but Matlock is beautiful.

I live near Derbyshire and the peak district ~ anytime you are around this area try Matlock Bath, Bakewell (keep away from the original bakewell pudding shop!!!), and Ashbourne. They are fabulous quaint towns with amazing views and lots to do ~ worth a visit

Luv Luv

I took mine there years and years ago - and it was great. On a hill if i remember and quite a bit of walking ... but well worth it. And Matlock etc is lovely as well.

If your going to Birmingham what about Cadbury World or the ThinkTank as alternative options? Looked at Gullivers World and it does look good.... hope you have a great time whereever you go and the weather stays fine.....:D

thank you for all your magic replies......

We did consider Cadbury's World but its so expensive, they'll be 6 of us in total and it works out :eek::eek: and its estimated you're in there (as well as the shop) for 3 hours total. We also looked at Dragton Manor but its not much fun for a 6 and 7 yr old.

Flirty - you answered the question i was most worried about - HILLS!! oh lordy.

I'll write back and let you all know how it goes - da da daaaa!

Personally i'd rather hit selfridges, new street and the bull ring - ooh i love Birmingham :p

Don't know if im too late but i took my girls there in June this year, it was a bit quiet, but the staff were great and there was no queues for the rides. My girls aged 4,5 loved it!! was really clean we had a walk round the village too... very quaint! A gorgeous chocalatier... Simon Dunn... got some lovely pressies!!

xxx

Sounds like thumbs up eh? lets just hope it doesn't rain too hard.... been checking out the forecast and its not ideal but ho-hum its only once in your lifetime your 6 eh?? Managed to track down a WWE champ belt too, john cena so "royal mail" permitting we'll have a v happy birthday boy!

Gullivers World was brilliant - totally BIG it up. Staff were great and no queue's at all the boys just walked up and got right on - perfect!! Was really good value as well, £9.30 each (adult/child) but we were in there 5 hours, also the shop was dead cheap. No the usual rip off.

It was on a bloody cliff face, talk about hills! OMFG i've never seen anything like it. Was worth it but worse than a work out, lol.

Hills is an understatement!!! By the time you get to the log flume oxygen is required!!! It is a great day though and only 40 mins away from us so we go most years!!
