do I have to cut down on carbs and sugar b4 doing CD???

I guys, I'm meeting my CDC for the first time on MON (tomorrow pm) and I'm wondering about having to cut down on carbs and sugar for a few days first. My CDC told me over the phone that I should start to increase my water and decrease my carbs and sugars, that was yesterday, and I have been ok ish, but what will happen if I've not cut down enough??? What will I feel like when I start SS??? Am I gonna feel lousy?? SHould I wait for a few days before I start on the SS? Sorry if I sound panicked.....but I am:eek::eek:

I know that CD say you should cut down, Some do, some don't, some even have a last carb laden last supper!

The thing is, If you want to do this diet and you want to lose the weight, you can do it!!!

The first few days until you get into ketosis are tough, and some people don't take as long as others... it's an individual thing....

I have never stuck to a diet before and the reason i think I am doing this is because I really really want it!!! I know we all have the chatterboxes in our heads, those are the chatterboxes that will tell us, that we can't do it because we didn't cut down on carbs before, or because we are scared of this or that.... But give the diet a chance!!!!
If you let your worries get a hold, even before you have started the plan, you might struggle... just do it!!!!

I am so glad I started this journey!!!

Hi Sophia-jo,

Cutting down on high carbs and sugar help reduce the withdrawal symptoms and it does make the first three days a good bit easier.

I think if you have already reduced your carb and sugar intake and increased your water intake you will be fine.

It is just that some of us have over dosed on carbs the day before starting SSing and the withdrawal is pretty tough, going from one extreme to the other.

i'm getting a little nervous now, not really sure why, apart from worried that I may fail at yet anothe diet.
I think I'm worried about the 'no eating' thing, I feel naughty even thinking about doing it....I am still going to give it a go, nothing will change my mind there, I feel rather naughty, like I did years ago when I bought slimming pills, I'd never advise anyone to use them and I'd never do it again but I feel naughty like I did back then.

I've read some of those recipes though,and it seems you can use your packs to make food that you CHEW, so I may give some of them a go.

I plan on doing a video diary to keep me focused, maybe I'll start my own diary on here too?? see how I go first, I havent even got my packs yet.... tonight is the night, and tomorrow is the day!!!! LOL
