28g of Porridge in Cups?

Hello all-just a quick question - as the title suggests - what would be the rough equivalent of 28g of porridge in US 'Cu-ps?' I don't own weighing scales at the moment-only a set of measuring cups! Many thanks, Kathryn

Hi there
My 1/4 cup holds 25gs of oats...hope it helps

I might get a set of cup measures. I'm Australian living in the UK and I often have to convert recipes. It would be easier with a set of cups, especially for measuring my oats in the morning. Why didn't I think of this myself?!

Porridge is now 35gms - it changed from 28gms in January. I have it every day for breakfast.

I measured 35 gms into the bottom of a small water bottle - drew round it then cut if off - now got a 35gm measuring pot.

I only found this out recently, is it the only cereal that has gained weight ?

That's a good idea, I might try doing that - it is a faff getting the weighing scales out every morning, but I think it is important not to guess your healthy extras (because I would overestimate!), so I do get the scales out every day at the moment!
