Hi All
Well, I've given WW a go and it just didn't work. At the start of Jan I was 66kg and at the end of Jan I was 66kgs! Despite walking miles, running 4 times a week, doing wii fit and sticking to the plan.

I was devastated yesterday when I weighed and need inspiration to get back to SW so would appreciate any helpful advice.:D
Thanks
Jen

To be honest, all diets work - it's just about finding one that works for you.

Welcome to SW and I hope things start moving for you soon. I know how frustrating it is when the weight is slow coming off, but it will come off eventually!

Hi and snap, ive just left ww to come back to sw, i find that i eat much healthier on sw even tho fruit and veg are free now on ww. Ive realised i need the syns of sw, 7 syns for crisp put me off them, 3 points for 2 packs of crisp makes me eat 4 a day hahaha

Thanks Jenny.
One thing is for sure, WW was not the diet for me! And yet, I have heard that people who were on the Points system lost up to 7 or 8lb when switched to ProPoints.

The one thing I liked about WW was the fact that bread was easier to fit into the plan and as I have limited time of an evening a sandwich was fine for my dinner (with side salad). It just means I have to spend a bit more time planning on SW. On the plus side, I can indulge in mushy pea curry and sin free chips!
Yum yum

Hi Jen and welcome!

I too have switched to SW. I find it so much more flexible and fits my lifestyle better. I work away a lot so being able to do EE really helps when your trying to pick off of a very tempting hotel menu

I also know what you mean about the crisps, a multipack of wotsits never lasted very long on WW !!

Good luck x

Hello and welcome - i used to do WW (many moons ago) and lost quite a bit of weight - but i do love SW more.....its a personal choice.

Will you be joining a local group to lose weight?

x

I left WW last week to join SW after being loyal to them for well over 7 years, I could just not get my head around their new plan and feed the family at the same time.
So far, I am finding it much more simple with no weighing and calculating every morsel.
Plus, I could starve myself on WW to fit in wine, now it has to be syns, so have cut down.

I'm joining SW again for the second time tomorrow. there has recently been a new class opened up in my local area that is on at a time that suits my working pattern so i'm delighted. Rather than weight loss in terms of lbs/stones, i want to drop two dress sizes, bringing me to a 14 again.

Me also, been there and done the weight watchers diet (not propoints tho) and if im honest i did do well, but then i slowly started using my points for rubbish foods, not filling up on filling foods and so on..and coming home from work all day having to point everything up just drained me! WW's just didnt work for me in the end, but everyone is different.

Good luck i hope you enjoy sw x

Hi there,
Ive bumped this post because i want to know if anyone looses when they come straight over from ww to sw obviously been quite resricted on ww.
I'm a slimming worlder but supported my mum on her 1st week with wws and ive ended up doing 2 weeks but i need the easyness of sw i miss the support and with the bbq season starting its more flexable.
Thanks for your help.

I've heard of lots of people on here who have lost their first week on SW after WW. Calorie-wise there really won't be much difference between a WW day and a SW day.

My losses are v similar but I eat SO much more on SW it's unbelievable, plus more home cooked rather than processed food.

Thank you im coming back on wednesday ive eaten so much junk on ww ive had no motivation to eat salad and veggies just ww quiches and ww biscuits and chocolate bars which although they are all within my points they cant be all that good for me (nice though and ive enjoyed the change).

Totally agree, I was eating ww sweet stuff cause I could! It was within points. Never ate so much fruit & veg in my life as with SW lol plus enjoying cooking the recipes as processed food is a no-no usually (high in syns)

I came back to sw last week after doing ww, I could not get on with the new pro points, to much time spent pointing. I love sw, eating loads more healthy foods. Here to some gud loses

I have also came from ww to sw
I coudnt get used to pro points
And i used to make something like chicken and tatties for my kids tea and id have a ready meal
Because i coudnt point it out
Ww clearly does work for people but this i agree does make me think about healthy stuff more
Hope everyone has a good day lesley

I have also just switched from WW to SW.. I agree with eating food just because they are within points, not being full up etc. I joined a class on Wednesday, I have done SW before and managed to lose 14lb in 7 weeks, so it does work. Just need to find my cooking skills :) good luck everyone xx
