im doing lynn's version of this low carb low fat diet! its a revolution!!!

so week one went like this! oh my god!!! its a miracle!!! ive lost 6llb so far since monday i weighed myself last night!! im 11st 7 llb so 1.5 stone to go to target!! ive lost 21 llb so far and have a 4 month old baby.

i lost my weight after the birth of my daughter who is 2.5 yrs with weight watchers as i did for my wedding but it was the wheat that was the problem i think..shreddies for breakfast sandwich and crisps for lunch ww bars pasta g bread for tea etc !!! every meal was wheat based!!! and ww allowed this! so my losses were really slow with this new diet i feel amazing my tummy is really flat my back fat has vanished !!!!!

im shocked that i havnt had the highs and lows of hunger or hunger pains its been easy to stick to so far and i ate out last night at indian and had chicken pakora to start no poppadoms or rice or bread i know the pakors is battered but i thought it was lighter than the latter! then had chicken tikka salad ! had a couple of malibu and diet cokes too !

one of the biggest changes is to my bowel! i only used to go once a week if that now im going everyday! wow!

lunches for work have been a bit of a mare!! gonna have to be more organised next week and cook off chicken to take or heat soup and take in a flask i dont want to re introduce bread till im at target then ill have it for lunch ...

warbutons have just brought out soft gluten wheat free bread ?? was wondering what it was like.....

well i will weigh in monday ! let you all know

big thanks to lynne!!! shes amazing!!!! xxxx

Where's Lynne's version of the diet? I don't know who she is, I'm afraid, but would be interested to look.

Congrats on a fab 1st week loss, 6lbs is great, especially when you don't have that much to lose in general. Well done!

awwww thank you hottot! You are very sweet to mention me :)

Rosebug, basically my beleif is that we have to eat less processed food and really kick out the carbs. Concetrate on good whole food, eat fruit and veg and salad, (which do actually contain carbs , but your body has to work harder to process them). Low carb diets do not have to be the extreme of Atkins, a low carb diet is a very healthy way of eating if you eat the right things. Forget the sweet stuff and carby stuff, eat protein rich foods, fill up on fruit and veg and salad. Ditch the package meals. Enjoy life and socialise when you get the chance. Its all good :)

Counting calories IS important, count calories, count fat count carbs, how can you go wrong? Fat is important though, so dont cut it out altogether, I always have alittle bit of butter, some olive oil and i eat half a small avocado most days. You need protein, you need fat in order to stay healthy, but there is no such thing as an 'essential carb'. Cutting out carbs really makes a huge differnce to cravings, you will no doubt crave carbs initially, but once you get over that the other food cravings will mostly dissapear.

Ahh, sorry I didn't know who you were! I agree with much of that - for me though quick loss is important or I have trouble sticking to a diet, and I find I tend to lose quicker on very low carb counts, and I think with a low carb count you have to balance with a decent degree of fat. Huge amounts of fat would stall me, though. As a way of life or a way to steadily lose I think you're on the money.

Hi, you might have misread what i was trying to say, or more probably I wasnt very clear. Low fat is key, as is keeping calories low. But fat is important to your health. I have a tiny amount of butter in my eggs and a little olive oil in my salad dressing, but my diet is essentially low fat but the fats i have are pretty much unprocessed, no low fat margarine for instance. What im saying is dont cut it out all together. As for speed, I couldnt do a diet that give me slow steady weight loss. I lost the majority of my weight in 23 weeks, 78lbs I think it was, and a further 15 or 16 lbs since. I dont think a gastric band op could have made me lose weight faster lol.

hi lynne

thanks for your post. please would you mind sharing some breakfast lunch and tea ideas and give me an idea of how many cals/carbs/fat you have a day ?? do u ever have chocolate.
apoogies for appearing nosey i rrr need to lose me last 18 lbs its much tougher now so a change may help. i currently count calories and have about 1200 a day.
