Can I have EE Dinner if......

Right I've made a fish pie for dinner this evening using Quark and Fromais Frias for the filling. I'm just wondering if I can top it with Potatoe and have it as an EE.

For breakfast I had Poached Egg on toast and for lunch I'll be having HM Carrot and Corriander soup.
Thanks

No reason why not. The only time you cant really convert from red / green to EE is if you have already had all your Hexs, you would have to syn the additional ones.

Either the toast or the potatoe would have to be syned I think ;)

Ignore me I am being an eedgit and got confuddled ;)

yep you can mix carbs and proteins together on EE, the only difference is you only get 1 HEa and 1 HEb and should make your meal times include a 1/3 superfree food (fruit or unstarchy veg - sweetcorn, peas and parsnips are free but dont count as superfree).

Correct me if I am wrong but in my book it says "nearly all fruits are superfree foods! Have as much as you like for bfast, dinner, desert or even as a snack or just anytime u feel peckish"

So surely you can have fruit as a superfree ie 3rd or 2 3rds of your plate? I may be completely wrong. X

Sorry to be annoying :D I do find the EE confusing:rolleyes:

So this morning - Saturday treat (I'm not noramlly this greedy!)

I have had a red breakfast of (be good to yourself) bacon, poached egg and wholemeal toast (HEb), and a grilled tomatoe, small portion of bakedbeans (heb)

If I have HM veg soup for lunch am I ok to have spaghetti bolognaise for dinner as an EE?

There are carrots, celery, toms, mushrooms onions in the sauce and I'll make a side salad.

Yes you can - because you'll have only had one HXB. Because if you're on an EE day, the beans in your breakfast don't have to be a HXB, they are free food.

What you do need to do is stick to one plan for a whole day. So if you think your evening meal is going to turn your day into an EE day, then think EE for breakfast and lunch too.

Remember you're only going to be allowed the one of each HX, so if you have toast with your breakfast, you can't have a roll with your soup.

The simplest way to explain it is that everything that is free on red, and everything that is free on green, is free on EE. But you can't add as many HXs. So have your free red breakfast. Have your free green lunch, and you're fine to have whatever you like as an EE meal in the evening. But only one HXA and one HXB as well.

Does that help?

Thanks Sarah

That is a huge help.

I don't know why that info has refused to sink in!

I'll save your post to refer to - thanks again x
