;-(

:(I am off the diet at the mo...financially I am in dire straits and I can't afford to do the diet and I am so so gutted abut it I had lost 3 stone but I am emotionally eating at the mo and its creeping back on....I speak to a financial advisor on fri and hopefully will be able to free up some money so I can start back on it.

:break_diet::cry::wave_cry::sigh:

I feel so so low.

Aww what a shame :(

Have you tried comparing the cost to conventional food? See if there's much difference?

Could you do one of the higher plans where you just have 2 packs a day?

Hi Butterfly...a few weeks ago i went to my cdc to stop the diet because of financial reasons, i had also lost nearly 3 stone. But i really didnt want to start putting the weight that i'd lost so she suggested that i move up the plans. I am only on one shake a day plus food and im still loosing, althought its 1-3 a week.....its all counts!!!

Hope you manage to get your money worries sorted xx

Absolutely gg, why not do Cambridge 1500 with your counsellor ? This should only be around £12 a week if you have sachets and you will continue to lose weight and also more importantly not gain weight.

These are good suggestions ... don't underestimate the value of the 'monitoring' aspect of visiting your CDC. Even if you're on just one pack per day and two healthy meals, it's the going back to be weighed by someone that will help keep you on the straight and narrow.

For me personally, just 'watching my weight' at home simply doesn't do it ... I get on the scales and watch the weight creep on, feel depressed and then stop weighing myself altogether because I don't want to see what's happening.

But if I knew I was going to be weighed in front of someone in 3/4/5 days time, I probably wouldn't risk the slice of pizza! The same goes for any type of weight loss plan which involves being weighed whether it be WW, SW or RC (my personal fave). That's why an online plan wouldn't work for me - I'd have to be my own monitor and I'm to weak for that.

My advice would be to either carry on with CD but on a modified plan or join some sort of group where you go to be weighed. Support of SOME kind is the key.
If you don't have the funds for either of those options, go along to your GP and ask the nurse if you can pop in once a week and have your weight checked and recorded - that wouldn't cost you anything.

Hope things work out for you.

Some great ideas here for you, I hope you can afford to keep with it with one of the plans. I have been struggling lately with the ole cash flow. So know how you are feeling.

Good luck

Very true! When i did SW and i missed a class i said to myself, ohh i have a whole week to catch up, but really that was just an excuse to eat things i shouldnt be. Eventually i did stop going and put on all the weigh i had lost plus more. Its an incentive to know that you are going to be weighed every week and to know that you are being monitored.

 Thanks everyone there have been some really good suggestions here. I have a two weeks supply at home and my CDC is now a really good friend so she would still support me.
My OH can't work at the moment and I have been supporting us for the past 8 months but the thing is although I am on a good wage he used to pay in tax what I take home. We have so many outgoings and we have managed up til now but all our savings have now gone and next month I won't be able to pay everything...Tomorrow I am being advised on taking out an IVA and we have to put our house on the market next week because we can't afford to keep it and I love my home. My OH has a job but its just a waiting game as to when he can start back.
I am so tired and upset I have been bingeing badly and I am hoping tomorrows meeting will give me the peace of mind to pull myself back together.

Anyone know any get rich (or just get by) schemes???

Sounds like you're having a bit of a tough time - I really hope your meeting goes well and things start looking up for you.

Go to your husband for comfort...not food ;)

If you find a get rich quick scheme let me know :D I could soooo do with one of those!!

Hope things start looking up for you soon butterfly.

Have you checked whether you are entitled to any benefits while your hubby isnt working, such as tax credits or sickness benefits or even help with the council tax. Every little helps.

Good luck with the meeting hun xx

Its not really a get rich scheme, but at the mo im hard up...but yet i have so much usless stuff, or stuff that i dont use anymore lying around the house. I just stick it up on ebay...i found an old camping cookery set and a camping bag that i hadnt used for yrs and i got just over £40.00 for the lot. Ive also been selling some clothes/books etc. Basically anything that i dont use anymore.

Thank You all for the advice it's really appreciated. I am having a clear out and will be doing some boot sales and trying to put some things on ebay as well...I had our phone line and internet cancelled yesterday...anything to save some money...
The bad news is that CD of any form is out of the window for the mo...the good news is I have no money so won't be able to buy any other food either so am pretty much guarranteed to lose weight!!!!

I know exactly how you feel :hug99: I had to see my bank person today and extend the overdraft for the 3rd time in 2 months. Its getting harder to pay for these sachets now with the price rise too.. I completely understand where you're coming from. I really hope you get things sorted and can get back onto CD. Read some suggestions and they sound brilliant. Best of luck, keep coming on minimins!! xx

My mum bless her has sent me 3 weeks worth of shakes so I am going to have 2 a day plus a protein & Veg meal and try and lose the weight I have put on stress eating.
I have been reading some blogs on here and actually feel really guilty for even mentioning my problems I am lucky in the fact that this is only a short term issue and as soon as my other half is able to work again he has a well paid job to go back to and our money worries will be no more. My heart goes out to those on this site who have much greater difficulties to face than this and I wish them and their families lots of love.

Well........My financial issues are underway to being sorted out (IVA) it's qute literally saving me thousands but I got really annoyed at the debt counsellor who set it up...he kinda expected it to be due to a serious shopping habit not the fact I have been supporting our household for the past 8 months alone.....Speaking of alone I have broken up with my ex...After the financial dire straits I got myself into looking after him (due to a huge error of his doing that cost him his ability to work until its legally sorted) he was STILL lying about things to me (inc financial things) so enough is enough... 2 weeks of singledom has brought about a 12lb loss and much relief. The house is on the market and my lovely mum bless her is paying for my Cambridge diet as she wants to see the old "slim happy daughter she used to know!"

aaaww butterfly, I'm almost crying here, you poor thing, you've been through the mill. I'm happy to hear about the financial situation getting sorted out for you though, that's GREAT:D And splitting with your ex, well, I hope you're ok about that, no one likes a liar:mad:.
and as for losing 12lb, that's great, sorry you had to lose with stress though, I hope your stress is easing now. your Mummy is fandabbydozy, aaaaahhh of course she can't wait to see her lovely daughter back to her old self, aaah big kiss to ya Mummy and a huge hug to you XXXX:hug99:

Butterfly you have really been through it haven't you. I was in a similar situation 5 years ago, separated, sold house and an IVA. Now I love living on my own, well apart from kids, and can honestly say it was worth all the upheaval to be where I am now. Sounds like you have a really supportive Mum. You will get through all of this and congratulations on the 12 lb loss. :hug99:

Thanks to you both for the lovely messages. I feel confident that things are on the up. I am a little annoyed at myself for trying to build the trust (we had only just got back together after a 3 month split and I still took all the financial stuff on)
i just hope that he will honor his promises to pay me back...this remains to be seen.
