Pregnancy and CD..

Can anyone either on here or privately, tell me if I can still do the CD whilst being pregnant?

I am NOT wanting to SS or infact do the 790/100 etc.

I am missing the discipline and no brainer of the diet, ie have a shake. Nothing to think about apart from which flavour.

I would like to shake breakfast and dinner and have a sensible well balance meal in the evening.

I am still very much at the sicky sick stage and eat what I like when I feel up to it. I have not '.. gone off the rails..' but feel so guilty eating.

The one thing proved - the CD is very much a long time for the rest of your life commitment. If I wasnt so queasy, it would be sooooooooooooo easy to fall off the wagon.

I dont want to go into ketosis, but I dont want to be gaining anything other than baby weight either. As the CD contains all the vital nutrients and vitamins, is there any FACTUAL reason I cant take 2 shakes onboard a day and a healthy balanced meal at night?

Obviously Im not an expert TT, but your BMI is still high and so I see no reason why you shouldnt try to control your weight with CD during pregnancy. Infact its very important to ensure you are getting the right nutrients etc whilst you are growing your little baby inside you so I would have thought CD could be a big part of that.

I would definitely advise against using it for weight loss while pregnant, but if you could use it to prevent any weight gain it should make the road a little less rocky for you after the baby is born.

Why not discuss it with your gp/midwife and ask them to keep a real close eye on your weight during pregnancy.
