Cottage cheese - free?

What is the criteria for cottage cheese and syn value then? - I think I've been miscalculating it as free all this time - (even though it is probably low syn)

Is it only free for fat-free unflavoured/natural cottage cheese, whilst low fat natural has to be synned?

Heya

I usually shop in Asda and had been buying the "diet" Good for you range, as I had checked the syns online and they work out to be free. Out of the 3 online, the only one in the good for you range that has syns is the one with pineapple in, which I assume is because the pineapple is tinnned? Now I then when on to check the nutrition values of the Asda Smartprice cottage cheese (which says low fat) and to my surprise worked out to have less fat in than the Good for you range, so I double checked it online and its free also! Same with Tescos, there healthy living range is all free (apart from pineapple) Also the value cottage cheese is free too! Morrisons eat smart range is free too - even the pineapple one apparently online! Their value one isnt listed but has the same nutrional values as asdas and tesco value, so I assume thats free too. Sooo after all that, I tend to buy value and add flavourings myself. Or just stick to the healthy eating ones, avoiding anything like pineapple and sweet chilli.

Awesome news for me! I get the Asda smartprice and was sort of a bit naughty by not checking if it was synned. But I'm very glad to find out now that it is so thank you for the info! :D

Yes, I also used to get the Smart Price one, but switched to the larger "Good For You" low-fat one - I also favour Asda (unless I'm after fillet steak where Morrisons are better in my area).

Cheers!

If unsure check it on the syns calculator by selecting the correct free food, you will know for sure whether you are using one that is indeed syn free.

I normally do this but my SW password isn't working and I'm still waiting for them to mail it to me - must be a problem with either the site or my email provider lol.

Technology eh?
