***SUPER-DOOPER SUNDAY THREAD***

Jayellekay

this time - the last time
So I decided its probably my turn to start the daily thread!

I dont really have anything SUPER-DOOPER to discuss (!) but think my challenge for today will be to keep my water intake high and try and lift my mood.

I have been feeling down the last few days. No idea why. No one thing inparticular at the front if my mind. I really need it shake it off. Has been reading the site a lot - there is so much good news on here!

Struggled with water yesterday. I always find weekends the hardest! Day 18 100% - don't want to fail now!

What's everyone else upto today? How's everyone else feeling?

Morning Jay :)
Super dooper is a great thread title ! Sorry to hear you have been feeling down :( Weekends on CD are hard I think....I hope you feel better soon. Have a look online for outfits you can wear at goal ! You will have the pick of the shops!

2nd weig in for me and 4lbs down. I am pleased, but last time I lost more by this point (17lbs), and I know this may be down to the fact I am walking 8 miles per week as opposed to doing nothing first time around.

Going to ask my CDC if SS+ would help? Still mustn't grumble at a stone in 2 weeks. nto the 13's next week I hope !

We are off on a long walk today with the kids, they are taking sarnies, but I will have my bar/water !

Hope everyone has a fab day ! xxx

Im so disheartened ATM :( my scales been stuck for past 5days again! Tried upping water yday buy seem to be holding I today :( arghh

Well done on your 4lbs!

Enjoy your walk - have fun.

Try not to worry about the scales. Make sure you're taking your measurements so you can see the benefits of your exercise. Long term it has to be healthier for you to be moving.

I start power plate classes this week. Just doing one class, but its the first proper exercise I've done for months! Hoping to do 3classes the following week, so fingers crossed I can do it!

Morning --

@Kimmie -- I have posted this before, so forgive me if you have already read it. When doing LL in 2008 my friend (who did it with me) bought those scales that show your water to fat ratio. She noticed that the ratio of water to fat would change... more water, less fat and then she'd show a weight loss and the ratios would reset. So, if you aren't showing a weight loss and are sticking to plan... if you'd been following your progress on one of these types of scales-- you'd see that you are about to drop. Timing... there were week's when my friend weighed in with a small loss, but she'd say, "It''ll be bigger next week, I have 'reset', yet."

Kimmie, You are about to "reset" I am sure of it. Hang in there.

@Charley -- What a nice family activity. I hope you all have a lovely day.

@Janellekay -- Thanks for starting the daily thread. Please let us know how the power plate goes.

I have had a BAD week :( so peed off again :( started on tuesday night when I was at work with a bad stomach , felt so bad I had to eat , and the only thing available and that I could stomach was toast ....:sigh: so I recarbed and had 4 days feeling bad so eating .. i got back on track friday but we had friends for the weekend and we had taleaways and icecream :( so my usual recarb weight has been gained ( 9lb  ) and i have weigh in in the morning !! So I am 1 litre of water down today and feeling good about getting back on track , but dreading weigh in tomorrow .. I am so fed up with myself , I only have another stone ( or stone and a half now ) to go to goal and although I am in no rush I just want to get there !!!!
I was meant to be starting 810 on monday , and am tempted to still do it as I need to start my 30 day shred to tone up , so maybe should do it anyway or one more week of SS to get this 9 lb off ?????

arggggggg sorry about the rant , hope you are all doing well today :)

I want some of them scales lol

@Kimmie -- Argos has some "body analyzer scales" for 14.99

@Determinator -- I have read on this forum and in research, that people will lose as much weight doing a 800 calorie and 460 calorie a day diet. Your body becomes very efficient when you are a VLCD (hence feeling the cold -- you actually ARE colder).

If you do 810 and stick to a ketogenic diet -- you will slip into ketosis and drop and water and gylcogen very fast. Then, you will be back on track on for losing the rest of the weight you want to lose.

I would suggest that you SS until you are in ketosis (Tesco sells ketostix at their pharmacy 5 pounds). That should take four days more or less -- then move up to 810 and start the shred.

body brush :) it will help you get rid of the water.

i've been recovering from a self induced headache. so washed and hoovered and cleaned the car. even polished it. hubby said i'd been out there for 1 1/2 hours. :) had to put my daughter to work washing a few pots after that. so have only just had my first shake of the day at lunchtime. 2 more to go and a small 810 meal. need my focus back i seem to have lost it since xmas.

i know how you are feeling. i had my birthday celebrations on monday and then i've found it hard to get back on track to any degree. so practically a week of messing around. it's been hard since xmas and i've only got 3lbs to go. i just can't get my head round it. if it was more i would probably focus more. at the min life is getting in the way.

stay on ss and do the shred. you'll be fine. your body is used to ss now and a bit of exercise will decarb you. i used thursday to decarb myself. i worked out hard to use my carb stores up. it does help you get into ketosis quicker in my opinion.

hi everyone,

well, i planned on restarting on monday but after having my supplies since friday i can wait no longer so ive started today.
doing well so far. one shake down, 2 to go. not drunk much water yet cause im soooooo cold today so im gonna have a pint of warm water in a few minutes, aiming for one pint every couple of hours so overall should be plenty over the course of the day.
the weird thing is, i got weighed on friday (too ashamed to tell u what i weigh) then on saturday (bearing in mind i wasnt starting cd until monday) I had gained 1.5lbs. although i was conscious of the fact that anything i gain from friday to monday i will have to get off before to even break even with weigh in weight.
well i weighed this morning (wanted a fresh accurate restart weight and not only have i somehow managed to shift the 1.5lbs i had gained but also another 1.5lbs as well, giving me a 1.5lbs loss on my weigh in before i even started cd :D.
nice start huh.
anyway, feeling very positive and optimistic. this is my last time at this weight, time to get on that wonderful weight loss slide and enjoy the downwards ride of my life :D
have a good day everyone.

@Cheryl -- Don't be ashamed of your weight. Be proud that you have taken a positive step towards changing something with which you are not pleased. Good on you for being excited enough to start early -- and have a "plan of attack", too! :angel09:

@Great Things -- Happy Be-lated Birthday! :birthday: I am tired just reading your post. I did bathe the dog... now I have to clean the bath! ;)

@JanelleKay, Charley, Kimmie and Determinator -- I hope you are having a Super-Dooper Sunday, so far.

I am obsessing with food at the moment. I am (hopefully) going to be on SS for several months yet - so have decided to route my food obsessions to do food research now, ready for when I need to maintain and eat!
I read on here that lots of people lose their food obbsession once they actually need to start eating again, so I am going to try and put it to good use while I still have the urge.

Typically I live (or used to live) off snacks, quick cook meals and take away because I have no time. I hate spending time thinking about what to eat, so find its easier just to pick up the fastest thing.

I have therefore decided to start a recipes database, so I will very quickly be able to decide what to eat for the week ahead before I do my weekly shop. I then need to spend some time each sunday preparing meals for the week, so I have no excuses after work.

I have set up google docs template for recipes. Including ingredients, how to do it, a picture and details of how it would fit into Slimmers World (the programme I am going to use to maintain). Google docs is great, cause you can file a document in more than one place (i.e. "dinner" and "FREE syns" and "red meat") PLUS you can search for key words - which will be great for ingredients. So for example if I want something with mushrooms and I can search mushrooms and all recipes with mushrooms in come up!

If I can create a big enough database of "healthy" choices, I am hoping it will prepare me well for life after CD. I NEVER want to do this again, so definately want to do all the prep that I can.

I have decided to go onto SW to maintain, as I have been obsese for a long time, and do not trust myself to completely self-monitor. By committing to go to SW, I will still have a weigh in and so will not be able to ignore any weight increases. I think SW is also quite balanced, and would be a healthy way to live for the rest of my life. I have done it before, but struggled due to slow progress. Using it as a maintenance tool means I would have lower expectations, so think I could stick with it.

Starting to feel a bit more positive today! I have a plan - I just need to wish my life away so I can get to the end of the journey!

I have started dreaming that I have cheated. No full on blow out meals, but just the odd nibble. Hoping that if I start thinking about healthy meals, if I dream of anything - it'll be healthy food. Then when I eventually start eating, and I treat myself to one of my crave meals - it'll be great! And not a disappointing "healthy" meal. I am such a junk food addict! I LOVE McDonalds. But why? Its cheap, nasty food...not exactly a treat to my body - I just need to convince my cravings though! I could kill a Big Mac!

Hi all, took Master T swimming this morning, big achievement for me, as had avoided it when hit the 17.7 mark, however am under it now and took the plunge! Am now feeling great, although got the nephews and Master T making a lot of banging noises upstairs! We are babysitting whilst my s-i-law has gone to hosp to visit bro-in-law.

For those of you who have had wobbles, please don't beat yourselves up,it will only result in more wobbles......well that's what happened to me!!!!!
