Went to class!

Woo, today I went and joined a class and got the funky little folder and purchased a calculator too! (although, abit baffled by the fact that you're not allowed to take your shoes off when you get on the scales, I had my french walking boots on!)

Then headed into the city centre and grabbed a smoothie whilst waiting for the boyfriend to turn up and we headed to the gym and swimming after with a dip in the jacuzzi!

I ache, but feel awesome, but totally tired! Need to decide on what's for dinner... :D

Hey! Well done you, first step to join is a hard one! I seemed to take forever to do it! I was all talk for ages then finally did it!

I'm only on my 3rd week but having a bad day, just joining this forum for a bit of motivation!

I'm looking to get the calculator, let me know if it's any good!

I would love to go swimming but don't feel confident enough to go to the local pool, i'm afraid someone may mistake me for a whale and harpoon me! lol

That's just ticked me...lol
I used to feel the same, then one day I thought stuff it I'm going swimming....and once I went I realised no one gave a hoot what I looked liked....go on get ya' cossy on :))

Ooh, I love swimming. Get yourself down to the pool, no-one cares once you're in there! (better than our gym, there's no cubicles to hide away in)

I've been doing Weight-Watchers online for a few months and lost 1stone 9lb so far (I like saying it in lb's as 23 sounds so much better :p)

Made the silly mistake of going in jeans and my hiking boots, I actually weighed them after and they're 5lbs in weight! Including my belt! So that makes up for the different between the weight the wii shows and the weight at weigh-in. To be fair, I'm surprised the wii is actually accurate, was just using it to get an idea and a change in weight.

The calculator is actually really good, I've heard people complaining that the buttons are fiddly, but there's been no issue so far! Plus it's pretty easy to set up.

Even checked my tracker online after pointing everything with the booklet yesterday to make sure everything was spot on. Not a pro-point in different, very happy!

I've always taken my shoes off too, and did this morning (I have also just rejoined). How odd!

Say, it is strange that your leader doesn't allow you to take your shoes off at the meeting. It might be a difference between the English and Irish meetings? I noticed you write from Cork! The only thing you can do is go to the meetings with your boots but go in the toilet and change into very light slippers before going to be weighted. That way you would know it won't add a great amount of weight. And f you do that next week, it'll mean that you'll have a FABULOUS weight-loss!

(Maybe it's better to wait for a week that you know you haven't lost anything LOL. Since the Wii has a very accurate scales, you'll know by there when that will be the case. You know, things like a larger meal the day before weigh-in or TOTM or else ;))

Lol @ kag's comments!!

Made me giggle.

That is strange that she wouldnt let u take ur shoes off ... maybe she has a feet phobia or something LOL. Sweaty feet on her shiney scales! haha.

xx

Hahaha, brilliant!

I was really surprised - my poor friend would of lost an extra 1lb had she not worn her boots (and reached her first silver 7!)

I'm just going to grab some flats next weekend before weigh-in and get myself an awesome first week, oh and some thin material trousers (talk about cheating! haha)

It was just totally weird! Then again, there wasn't a new member talk, it was just a case of pay, fill out a form, weigh in, sit with the others. There was no keeping us behind either to chat, 30 minutes meeting where she spoke about alcohol and then it was 'see you next week'. Oh, bye!

Ooh, I'm not Irish by the way! Just moved here with the job :)

I always wear my leggings to weigh in. They are faded, the stitching is beginning to come away at the crotch, they have shrunk in the wash and are starting to resemble peddle pushers more than leggings so I have to drag my socks up nice and high and wear my biker boots to bridge the gap... but they are light and that's the main thing :D

When I get my first silver 7 I think I shall treat myself to a new pair

maybe it is an irish thing,,when i first joined ww i wanted to take my shoes off too but she told me no not allowed,,so now wear the same ones every week,,actually i wear the same everything,,leggings long top, undies:)

How odd...

Whenever I've been to class... I take off as much as possible without being actually naked!! Haha!

I wear.. my thinnest leggings, my thinnest vest, my thinnest bra... no socks, no knickers ;), no cardi, no shoes :)

Maybe your leader doesn't like strange feet on his/her nice scales :p

hahaha snozzberry! I just spat my water out at the screen! LOL!!!!

Thats crazy.

Mind you. I weight completely naked after a wee every morning. That I suppose is rather obessive!

xx

Not just me then :p

Nope, not just you! Before I had my eyes done I used to even take my glasses off! As if those few grams would make a big difference!

haha, you never know :p

Haha this thread is so funny! The night before WI I do everything to make sure I lost atleast 1lb including shaving all my body hair ;) haha!

If that actually makes a difference... you might just be a secret yeti o_O

..What about breathing in so you might just float off the scales a little?
