Me, me, me, me, me...

Hi, decided I'd say hello after lurking for a week or two. I did Lighter Life two years ago, lost 5.5 stone, but have gained 2.5 of that in the past six months or so. Would like to nip that in the bud and was considering going back to LL until I found out about Exante. I started properly on 5th Jan and had lost 7lbs when I weighed myself on Friday (I've thrown out my scales as they make me go a bit mental, so instead am using the scales at Boots at the same time each week).

Once I've lost 1.5 - 2 stone I want to get back to the healthy eating which I did stick to for quite a while post-LL. My 30th birthday is looming at the end of Feb so feeling good (and wearing something gorgeous!) for that is my main incentive.

I don't want to get down to my lowest ever weight (this time two years ago I was close to a size 10 but my BMI was still 28 - which is frustrating and bemusing, so I try to disregard it and concentrate on clothes sizes and how I feel). I just want to get back to a solid size 12 - have crept up to more of a 14 and it's a waste of all the amazing dresses I bought during/after LL, most of which are now a tad tight. Even just half a stone down, I can notice the difference - I've lost two inches off my waist already and am back in a couple of things that didn't fit before Christmas. Yay!

Anyway, just thought I'd say hi! It's going well so far, no slip-ups at all. I do find these forums a useful support network, especially as some people I know are a bit bemused by me cutting out food this time since it's not like I'm hugely overweight any more. I have a very busy social life (partly work-related) and had a real breakthrough on Saturday when I went out for a friend's birthday and managed to stay out until 3am and have a brilliant time without any food or alcohol passing my lips (I did have a sniff of everyone's cocktails but that doesn't count, right?!).

So, yes, that's me - hello!

Hi, you'[ve done great already, I'm like you, I was a size 8 with a 28bmi, my periods stopped when I went under that bmi, I'm not going to go that far again, scales are for fish, I want to be a perfect size 12 that maybe sometimes wears a 10. I've just had a baby 11 weeks ago so my tum hips and thighs are carrying all my weight, my top is going down nicely.

Have fun on here, everyone is lovely x

Well done on losing weight previously!

I'm very much like that, even when I was 9st size 12 fitted lovely but a size 10 was a squeeze! Thin I would need to be about 8st for size 10 to fit comfortable! And at 9 st my bmi was 28!
I'm trying to work with measurements and how I feel.

Good luck! x

hi

Good luck with the diet !

Hi izzy_wizzy! Well done on your losses with LL and your determination to get back the Exante horse! I'm finishing off what I started years ago with cambridge and am looking forward to getting the last bit off! Good luck and hugs! bb x
