Well I had my first weigh in this eve, only went and lost 7lbs! So pleased with myself :) and I am even more motivated now I know it can work. Was a bit unsure at first, felt like I was eating way too much. I celebrated with sausages, potato and sweetcorn yum yum (the only time I have used more than 1 or 2 syns all week). Feel a bit scared to use more than a couple a day - worried it won't work as well, but here's hoping for another good week :)

Well done! You must be spool pleased! Keep up the good work! x

Lisa, did you keep a food diary? I'd love to take a look for some motivation!! You've done brilliantly! x

Hi,thanks :) I scribbled down what I ate to start with. I did all red days. For breakfast I was having fruit (banana, blueberries, apple) and a muller light yog. I had poached eggs with slices of ham one day with beans as a healthy extra. For lunch I was eating low fat cheese (A), ham and salad sandwiches (B for bread), sometimes id grill them so melted cheese mmm. It sounds a bit strange but tasted nice as a sandwich filler - lots of chicken, apple, fat free yog/fromage frais mixed with curry powder! I am a sucker for mayo etc but this tasted like coronation chicken and had no syns! For evening meals I ate either chicken or pork with loads of veg and new potatoes as a healthy extra. I also made the SW burgers one evening they were soooo nice, better than the ones I used to make ! I did get through a fair few yogs as they are free for snacks and fruit aswel. Another meal I made was beef stew. Think I used beef skirt but cut off all the fat. Dry fried it with carrots, swede, onions, mushrooms and garlic then added about 2 pints of stock and cooked it slowly for a few hours. It ended up being syn free as the stock was free but as it cooked it thickened up and turned into gravy by itself. Would defo recommend. Served it with lots of brocolli and didnt miss the potatoes I would usually fill my plate with.

I didnt really use any syns but not sure thats the right thing to do. I personally will use them if I need to towards a meal but I dont think i would have lost half a stone if id treated myself to choc/crisps etc. Its nice to have a treat every now and then but doing this has made me realise my portion sizes were too big and if I need a sugar fix I can get it from some fruit - also sets a better example to my little one :) Hope I have given you a few ideas! Good luck x

Well today was a big break through for me, I went into the bakers to get a little treat for my little one and was not even tempted to get myself something!! I blame the bakers for my rather large bottom!! haha. Very pleased with myself.

Was a bit down earlier as like most people the january blues had set in, it seems to have been jan for sooooo long and payday seems miles away! As much as im loving sw it is considerably more expensive than a 'normal' food shop. No wonder so many people are overweight, the cheapest foods around are always the fattiest. I mean i could have happily eaten 4 snack sausage rolls for lunch at the price of 50p! Very filling but if you were to fill up on fruit/low fat products it would cost alot more!

Anyway money rant over! Managed to fill up the meat drawer in our freezer after hunting out the bargains! Chips egg and beans for tea - cheap and cheerful!! Can't wait for a red day tomorrow :)
