On Tuesday I am eating out for the first time since starting SW and I still not 100% know what to do and eat so I am just wondering what are the most important things to avoid that are full of syns.

Sorry if it sounds like a stupid question but I am still all confused.

Do you know where you are going? If you put up what type of place it would be, people might be able to make a few suggestions :D hope that helps x

Isn't there an 'eating out' book for slimming world? I start next week, can't wait after being on Cambridge!! x

Its a local pub type resturant, not very helpful I know. I dont think its a big chain one so I cant get a menu online which is very annoying because I wanted to plan before hand

Hi Hun
First of all find out where you are going for a meal and then check out the menu online or get hold of a menu from the restaurant if you can.
Decide what plan you are going to follow for the day you are going out.
I tend go for Extra Easy as it makes it easier to syn things & also gives me abit more choice from the menu.

Depending on what type of cuisine you are eating go for wiser options. So things which won't be covered in creamy sauces, deep fried in batter, breadcrumbs or only come with side orders which are all deep fried.
As for side orders I always go for salad/jacket potato/new potatoes instead of things like chips, wedges, mash, garlic bread etc.

If you order a steak which comes with sauce, ask for the sauce to be separate or not have any at all.

Also don't be afraid to ask questions, some menu's offer a healthier option for us slimmers, feel free to ask what things are cooked in or if you can swap chips for salad etc.
Nowadays more and more places are becoming more diet conscious for us slimmers & usually have a healthy choice for us.
Good luck & I hope you enjoy the meal.
