Greetings from a newbie!

Hello,

I'm new. I have just signed up with WW online for three months to see what all the fuss is about with the new Pro Points etc and hopefully see some weight loss if I weight watch well enough :D

I am certainly not new to dieting. Lost 5 stone in 2008/9 with Slimming World then swapped onto Atkins/Low Carb for 2009/2010 lost a further 7lb all year :sigh: now for 2010-11 I am joining WW!

I did do WW briefly in 2005 and lost really well until I moved house/gave up fags etc.

I'm slightly worried it won't work becasue I haven't eaten carbs for over a year now and am worried my body will freak out and just suck up everything I eat and store as flab. Anyway, I can but try

I am a criminology student, enjoy camping, have three sons and should be writing an essay about Myra Hindley now so I will stop boring you all and get back to it.

Looking forward to the support of the boards, it seems great!

Hello :) I'm amazed you've managed to eat no carbs for over a year?! I don't think I could ever give up chips :) haha.

Good luck on your journey with WW... I don't know what to say regarding to your bodies reaction.. But at the end of the day with the points you have, you should still be in a calorie deficit so you should still lose weight, despite your body getting carbs back.

I would say give the diet a couple of weeks to convince you - especially if you're not happy with the first weigh in! The body adapts so very well and very quickly, so it won't take long to get it into WW shape :)

Hope you enjoy the diet - I know that I find it enjoyable because nothing is out of bounds, which seems like a realistic maintenable diet, because at the end of the day, we all want to keep it off! :)

Good luck!

Good luck and welcome to the site x x

Good Luck im sure if introduce them slowly ure body wont be too shocked, as i rule when im on WW i tend to steer clear of carbs and have 1 portion a day like some spuds or 2 toast for brekkie.

Ohhhhh i wanted to do Criminology at Uni good look with that essay too xxx

Hiiiii!!

Welcome and good luck with your journey!!

I too studied Criminology at uni, as well as psychology, and work as a Probation Officer! Good luck with the essay!

:)

Thanks for the kind and friendly welcome! I've just got the iPhone app so am typing in that, hope it turns out ok!

Day 2 ~~ 100% so far. Although as I understand it I'd have to use up my daily points (29) AND my weekly points (49) to be not 100% which seems pretty hard because even if you did that, you could just stay within your daily pp to be ok. Almost seems too easy?! Hmmm! Time will tell.

Almost finished the essay, just pesky referencing to too tomorrow. Deadline 11.59pm but at work tomorrow all day til 4pm.

I bet being a PB is great! One of my favourite lecturers was a PB for 20+ years.

Your 49 are optional hun you don't have to have them if you don't want x
