Hello everyone - I'm new to this site.
I started Lipotrim on Monday (10th January 2011) and am very serious about getting from my starting 15st 4lbs (eek) to a lovely 10st - which is apparently the ideal weight for my 5'6''..

So far I am on Day 5, just sticking to the Chocolate shakes as I can't stomach any of the other flavours..

I must say, I'm pretty hungry! I seem to be punishing myself though by watching all the foody shows on telly - especially Come Dine With Me - all I can think about is food! :-(

Anyway.. must stay focused..
Off to a friend's wedding in June so would like to look AMAZING for that - also getting married myself in June 2012 so would like to have lost some weight even just to try wedding dresses on!

I am however, planning to 'lapse' in February as I've been given a present of a meal at one of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants (I am very into food..). - is this allowed?? What's the best way to do this? It's in 4 weeks time and I need to 'lapse' for the weekend. Any suggestions?

Hi Lolly, welcome on the forum and good luck. If you want to lapse for that meal at GR restaurant, you need to refeed the week before as you cannot start eating normally immediately. Please check the refeeding forum and check with your pharmacist as they can provide you with a list of how to refeed. I started last week at about the same weight as you and I managed to shift 10lbs at first WI. The first week is the hardest but it will get easier! :)

I got on the scales every day and didn't seem to lose any weight that's why it's better to wait for your official WI. I'm fine now, spread the shakes a bit better so that I'm not hungry and drink lots and lots of water.

Lolly, no need to refeed if, and it's a very big if, you think you can just have the one meal and then get straight back on LT....I managed to eat meals for two nights on a weekend away and still lost 4lbs that week! If you want to know what I did then it's all detailed on my Blog but in a nutshell.....look up the restaurant on the Internet and find their menus, then pick your food in advance, stick to protein, veggies and salads and completely avoid carbs. Don't even give puddings a second glance, you won't get away with it! Incidentally I don't think that it's physically possible to start eating 'normally' as someone has put it, after being on LT after a while, your stomach simply cannot handle a proper meal.....well mine certainly couldn't, I still can't eat very large quantities and I've been eating again for a couple of months!

Chances are that, like me, you won't actually have much of an appetite so you'll be perfectly satisfied with a far smaller meal than you would normally. Plus, by then you will already have lost well over a stone so hopefully will be very motivated to carry on.

Good luck and if you want any more advice then please don't hesitate to ask! I really wouldn't bother with refeed though, that will just put you back to square one for a few weeks and it's not worth it for one single meal!

Hey Sandra!

- brilliant plan! Now I think about it, I could do 2 shakes and a healthy dinner and then the next day I could do shake-healthy lunch-shake, with the next day being back to normal.

Thanks for the advice though re carbs! I'll go for that fish and salad over that burger then!! Desserts may pose more of a problem however..

Hmm.. maybe I'll share a healthy starter then hopefully be so stuffed half way through the main course that a dessert will be the last thing on my mind!

It's Day 6 - I'm doing well! Feeling a little tired.. not much energy.. hopefully this will get better.. Guzzling water. Very glad I like water!!

Glad to be of assistance! I just don't think it makes sense to refeed in order to eat only a couple of meals, particularly if you think that you can exercise self-restraint! I very much doubt if you'll want to eat a pudding, I did have a glass of wine both nights though:D

When we went to London for the weekend back in November I'd been on LT for 2 months and I researched the restaurant menus specially so that I could have a nice meal without going completely mad! And it worked out great so I was well chuffed!

Good luck x

Hi Lolly! Well done for getting to day 5!! It really is the hardest part, I weighed myself on day 5 and the next 2 days were easy peasy cos I was so pleased with how much I had lost. As for hunger...I honestly didn't stop feeling hungry completly until yesterday (day 10), everyone is different.

Ooo good advice on eating out Sandra. I was planning on coming off Lipotrim altogether for Feb as I have so much going on, but maybe I will just have a couple of carbless dinners instead! I plan to go low carb when I finish anyway. You don't miss them from a meal when you have'nt had them for a while do you?

Still don't eat as much in the way of carbs as bread used to be my 'problem' food.......I think I'm cured:)

Yes, bread was definitely my problem too. Also potatoes in any form were part of my daily (bad) eating regime etc.

It is my sweet tooth which is the biggest problem though. BISCUITS especially - killer (literally). But I WILL live without them!

Hi Lolly, how are you doing? Feeling the effects of ketosis yet? I'm at the end of day 11 now and feeling good, just a bit bored really lol

I don't think it matters how often you weigh because if you are 100% on LT you WILL lose it. I have a little peak at the scales every morning and if it goes up, so what? I know it'll go down again because I've been 100%. Obviously it'll be more dramatic and "special" if you check weekly but at the moment I get out of bed with a little skip in my step just to get to the scales... how sad? lol I nearly cried with joy the other day when I got under the stone mark! :giggle:

Anyway, just thought I'd pop by to say hello :D
