I had a big breakfast at 8am - wheetabix muller light yoghurt and a banana. And by 10am I was hungry. Is that because my metabolisim (sp) has started up? I had three tangerines at this point along with water that kept me happy till lunch. Is that the thing to do? Eat when hungry? I want to know I am doing it right lol. I had my dinner and then at 3pm I was hungry again so had cucumber and an apple then at 4 had my tea. Now I feel satified and not hungry...is that because my metabolisim (sp) has clamed down for the day?

Just curious.

Hiya I'm not sure on the metabolism side of it, but you are right eating when you're hungry and continue to do so until you feel satisfied.

Good luck on your SW journey x

Think of your body burning fat as a car on a journey. Once you've filled the tank (breakfast) it'll start moving, but will need a top up of fuel when it's running low, or it'll end up stopping. Our bodies need energy in order to actually burn off the extra fat we store. So once that engine has started, it needs to keep going.

Don't be afraid of snacking, you're not doing anything wrong. On this diet if you're hungry, you eat. If you're full, you stop. If you want a treat, you have some syns. It really is as easy as it sounds!

To stay full you should increase your protein at each meal, I get hungry really quickly too if I don't have any. In my opinion weetaix, yogurt and a banana is not a big breakfast at all. Maybe I'm just a greedy pig lol. But if you were to add an egg to it you'll be sorted till lunch time!
You could also try steel cut porridge oats (or pinhead oats), its less refined and contains a lot more fibre and protein than rolled oats. When I have this for breakfast I'm never hungry before lunchtime.
