How do you thank a specific person

I wnated to say thanx to valerie11 for talking me through setting up my ticker, is it possible to thank an individual or do you just have to post and hope they get to see it. ?????? Thanx.

Hit the thanks button in the bottom right of the post you want to thank =)

But like a lot of functions around here you need to have made 50 posts before the "Thanks" button is visible to you.

or you can add to their reputation by clicking on the scales icon that appears below their profile details.

they said they were going to correct that, the thanks button shouldn't be conditional on the number of posts you make..
