It should slow down a bit -- that is normal. Once you've lost the gylcogen stores and the water it holds with it -- you will be losing actual body fat (and some muscle if you do not do some exercise).
Heavier people can lose 4 to 5 pounds in a week, but most will lose around 3. The guide for ssing on a VLCD is about 1 stone a month.
I lost 3 pounds the second week. However, I have added some exercsie and build up. However, I do not want to do too much -- as I have to make whatever I do sustainable or I will regain what I have lost.
@Setas and Chele -- I do not think of 50 pounds as being a lot to lose. There are people on this forum who have lost over 100 pounds, and some that still need to lose that much (and more). I know it sounds like a lot... my current 30 to go sounds overwhelming, but I am grateful it is not even more.
