Hello from another newbie

Hi all,

I'm Paula and I've just joined the site having been tipped off by someone on another forum I use regularly.

I'm trying to lose weight for my wedding at the beginning of May this year and although I would love to be down to about 10 stone by then, I'd be really happy to just look and feel slimmer and healthier than I do now.

I'm using slimming world, but am only able to do it from some old books that a friend has leant to me as I work crazy shifts that rule out being able to attend regular meetings. I'm also trying to use the 'eat less, move more' principle of weight loss as I've become a bit of a couch-potato recently!

I did try slimming world last year and really enjoyed it, but have managed to creep back up to almost where I started by pigging out on rubbish all over Christmas. Never mind, it's given me the kick up the backside that I needed to get myself motivated again, and I've lost about 5lbs this week so far!

The amount of help I've found on this site so far is really fantastic and it's answered a few questions (and solved a few problems) for me already - I can now eat my daily mullerlight guilt-free!:D

I know what you mean about working crazy shifts and not bein able to attend meetins, im kinda eatin healthy but am thinkin about startin weight watchers with the books i have at home!!
