ive been at target now for 10 weeks and yes im a consultant :) the question is how do you manage to stay within range??
today i lost 2lb which means im at the bottom end, even though ive added an HEb (im a green girl so thats 3 per day) dont do dairy very well
i just find it a mental battle to not see those + signs on my book??
so what do you do to stay in target??
have you moved your target and lost more weight??
any help and advice would be great thank you

I find it relatively easy to stay in target, I tend to have ever so slightly more syns:cool:

emm i thought about that but dont want to slip back into the habits that made me 18 stones 9 lb in the 1st place :devilangel:
and to be honest as a consultant thats not what i will be advising my target members to be doing so im giving the HE ago, but saying that if it works for you then thats good :)

Hey, I'm not a target member by any stretch!! But could you add in some of the fattier HEB for green, such as nuts, dried fruit and olive oil? Or you could add extra syns but reserve them for avocado or a fruit smoothie? I just wondered if having extra health food that happens to be synned might help? That way if you have to add syns you won't be adding in extra junk food.

I have only been at target for 4 weeks now. I am still losing (don't know how!) Have just had WI and lost another half a pound. If I lose anymore than another half pound I will be out of target.

Really not sure what I should do. If I want to re-set target (It would only be 3lbs off my original target) would I have to back pay not sure how it all works?

I know it is a great problem to have but I am not sure what to do if the weight is still coming off!
:)

Gosh I wish I had those issues my issue is at the other end of the scale i have to work hard to stay in target :-( Hoping this year to really get to the bottom end of my target range so I can start experimenting with extra HE but suspect I may be one of those people that can't have any extra HE

good luck maxine finding the right answer for you,

Teresa

Staying within target is harder than losing i think!
I got to target back in May, ( dont go to group) then put 4lbs on after a weekend away, got back on plan, but tried the plan with 2 HEA ( i had been following the old book which was still just 1 HEA) and i STS for 3 weeks!, so for me i guess the extra HEA keeps me in range. I then removed the HEA and lost, and decided to lower my target, which i arrived at just before xmas, only to put 9lbs on over xmas!! so busy losing that again at the moment. But think i'll try the extra HEA when back to target. Think its trial and error as everyone is different.
Adding in more HE's to see what works for you.

i thought about lowering my target weight, but i have lots of loose skin (sorry to be graphic) and loosing more weight wont help that go away, :sigh: just have to wear magic knickers i guess :) but thats better than not finding any to fit!!!!!

I've never been lucky enough to find it easy to stay at target. I've never carried on losing either.
I am in the camp that it is harder to maintain than lose and consequently, after maintaining for a couple of years I've slowly put a stone back on.

I never had the extra healthy extras, always "little extras" instead.

This time I intend to follow the right advice, the extra HEX's, even if I end up having an extra 2 or 3 a day. I'll use olive oil or nuts and seeds as the extra.

I think the advice for target members is okay, we're told to increase our HEX's by one and if we still lose then add another, and so on. It says somewhere that people can end up having 3 or 4 extras, depending on their bodies. I've heard some say they can't even manage one more without gaining.

It's a lifelong, trial and error, maintaining mission!

I've been at target for a few weeks but am finding it difficult to stay within the target range. Having dropped out at the bottom end I have revised my target weight by 7lb. I ate far more last week to try to stay at the bottom of my target and decided I couldn't eat like that for ever so have revised by target by 7lb. It might take me a few weeks to get there but feel it is worth it so that I can continue to eat healthier than I was before.

I find it really hard staying at target, id say ive slipped a bit and have more syns than i should (that explains the being 10lb over target)
Ive heard that a few people do the plan 100% during the week and have some treats at the weekend.

well after just a week of eating HEB which was bread..im feeling yukky going to stop eating that and find something else..
this might sound strange but i HATE seeing that + sign next to my weekly wi... in 16 months before i hit target i only saw that 4 times with a few ss thrown in.. i was thinking about resetting my target but as my lovely DH points out it wouldnt be fat i was lossing and the weight im carrying is loose skin!!! well at least he is honest!!!
so going to wi on tuesday and see whats happened..
makes me more aware of when i get any target members how hard it could be ;)

wow 117lbs loss fantastic,:) do you mind me asking did you do red or green or ee ? or a mixture of all three?

I think it's really a matter of finding out what works for you. I'm on my third target range and sitting half a lb outside it right now (over alas, not under) - though that's mainly as i've been finding it a bit of a struggle since new year - though at one point in December i was 4lb below target range. That said - i have found it easier to stay at target this time around (since mid-october) as i think i've probably found somewhere near to the weight my body/diet/activity can support naturally - though that was also with an extra HeB choice.

like others have said - at my previous targets - i struggled with the idea of eating more to maintain the weight - i'd just prefer the body to find it's natural level, preferably with me eating 2/3 HeBs (i'm primarily a red/green day person) without having to change my eating habits to where i actually dislike having to eat what i have to eat to maintain.

hope that all made sense :)
