Working out Syns on the move

Does anybody know a simple equation to work out how many Syns are in foods when you are in a supermarket?

When i did WW i had a link to a calculator to work out the points which was really handy however on SW i'm not aware of anything which can make it difficult when you're in a supermarket and you dont know how many syns something is and I dont really want to have to carry a big chunky directory around with me

If anyone can help it would help to add some spur of the moment food buys when i'm out shopping!

Yeah I do however getting onto the internet and onto the sliming world website when you're in a supermarket can be really slow
