I can`t balance my Cals & Protein :( **MENTIONS FOOD**

I am logging what I eat (Inc the shakes etc) on MyFitnessPal and am supposed to be following the 810 plan.

Whatever I do though, I can`t seem to balance my Cals and Protein :(

I am still only getting just under 600cals a day, Well under the 810 so I have tried to add extra food inc fat free natural yogourt, But if I do that, It makes me go over on my Protein :sigh:

Any ideas anyone please?

Xxx

P.s. Even with adding enough to affect my protein, I`m still nowhere near 810 cals :(

hey , on 810 you should have the meal and 200ml of skimmed milk ( or fat free nat yog ) so it takes you to 810 .. I dont understand what you aqre trying to do with your protein , as far as i know you dont have a maximum amount of protein on 810 ??

I can`t stand milk, So Lelly suggested the yogourt to me. So is it like for like? 200ml of the natural yogourt over the day?

I have a daily allowance on myfitnesspal of cals/carbs/fat/protein so when I put in what I have eaten that day, Where I have had extra to try and up my cals, It has made me go over on protein.

It keeps telling me off in bright red letters for not eating enough cals as I`m allowed 1500 (usually, to lose weight) and am not even getting up to 600  lol

hey you can have 150 g of fat free yog ( the total 0% one is nice ) and i add a tiny amount of the water flavouring and its gorgeous :)

as for the my fitness pal thing i dont think you will get the balance of protein and cals right as CD is a very individual diet with all the nutrients sorted for you , so if you are following 810 i wouldnt owrry what my fitness pal says to be honest :)

Thanks so much for the help and advice x

I have bought Tescos Fat Free Natural Yogourt and I put some Cinnamon spice in and it was lush :heartpump:

I think I`ll ignore the protein for now as Atkins works on upping it so I`m hoping it won`t hinder any weight loss :D

Xx

I answered on your other thread before I saw this one.

I don't think you should worry about your protein as eating protein builds muscles which in turn raises your metabolism to burn more calories (fat). Protein is a good thing as long as you aren't going over your allowance.

If I was you, like determinator says, i would carry on using myfitnesspal.com to log your intake etc, but don't worry about what it tells you that you should have - CD is all planned out for you to be nutritionally balanced.

You are doing really well. Well done!

Your body excretes any extra protein, it doesn't store it, so you won't gain weight eating more protein than your fitness website thing tells you to eat.

Thanks again x I also replied to you on my other thread lol

It makes me LOL cos it keeps telling me off as I`m eating just shy of 600 cals and it thinks I should be on 1500 ;)
