AAMW....

Linda5111

I can do this.
Hi all, i'm on my 3rd day of aam i'm staying with chicken as i don't like fish or cheese, the thing is it's making me feel bloated and sick and i don't feel i'm losing weight.
I am drinking loads of water, was better just with shakes. Do i really need to aam?:(

Yes Linda you have to do AAM unless you get your doctor to sign to say that you can do sole source without the break for add a meal.

Are you measuring it out so you're having the exact amount?

:)

Hi, I am in week 5 now and should be doing AAM, but am not.

No-one knows if you are eating or not. I felt exactly the same, ate some chicken and stuff on Sunday, felt sick and bloated so decided to miss the AAM and stay with SS.

I know others have done the same, just dont tell your CDC (hope I dont get bad rep points for this, but its true)

I feel great, in fact, never better and food is not required by me at the moment.

I am only doing SS for another 3 weeks when I go on holiday, but will be adding various low carb foods in a bout a fortnight.

Sorry Neco, I`m not disrepecting you, but I would of thought the relationship with your cdc was about trust. The aam week must be there for a reason. It would be ok to discuss your reasons for not wanting to do it but not to lie about it. Sorry but maybe i`m just being naive. I`m due my aam week next week so may just be eating my words. lol

no problem, when i spoke to my cdc about concerns over AAM, she actually said to me "how can i prove you are eating it!"

Its not that i am lying, I just havent told her! I think there is a slight difference.

I am a bit worried now about aamw, I was looking forwrd to it. I suppose after not eating food for four weeks,it must hit your stomach like a lead bomb.
Will just have to try it amd see ho I get on, were all different. lol

On my first day of aam I remember struggling to eat half the cottage cheese. By day two I was thinking..hmmm...is that it :giggle:

I wouldnt be to worried about it. It might seem like alot the first day but after thats its fine. Trust me you will really enjoy it and you will be looking forward to it all day, lol. The only downside for me was that it did stimualte my hunger a little and i did want a tiny bit more, but i resisted :). Everybody is different and you may find that you have no problems at all with AAMW.

I am on my first week of 790 and the portions make my stomach ache so much, but i have divided it into 2 meals in the day so i can really enjoy it.

I think you will be fine. AAMW is something to look forward to. :)

Thank you, I think the splitting up meal is maybe a good way to go.

Its the only way i can make sure that i have what i have to for 790. It feels so wierd because before i could eat so much, now i'm like woh, thats alot of food, lol

xx

Its funny cos 3 weeks ago I would never have thought of being in a position to say ther was too much food too eat lol.
Good luck with the 790 x x

It feels great doesn't it.

Good luck to you too. You are doing really well. Keep up the good work :) xx

Hi, I will be beginning week 6 tomorrow and should have been on the AAM this week. I didn't do it. I did speak to my councellor about it, and various people from this site and answered my queries, and the CDC agreed. I am going away with work for 2 nights (16th and 17th) then in Poland for 3 days and 2 nights (25th, 26th and 27th). Obviously neither of these are full weeks, and neither of them would have landed on my next AAM week if I had of done it this week (does this make sense??lol). So, she agreed that if I keep to SS as long as I could then eat AAM or 790 meals when I am away from home I would be fine. Saying that, it was my daughters birthday last night and we went out. I had a small salmon steak with lettuce and 2 slices of tomato and it has killed me all night. I couldn't eat any more yesterday - thats all I had.

CHICKEN! x

Question for Linda - are you having your meal at the same time as a shake?

On my first aam I tried to have my meal in the evening before/after my shake and I really struggled feeling bloated and a bit sick. I now have my shake in the morning, half a bar mid-morning, my aam at lunch, half a bar in the afternoon and another shake in the evening - for me this sorted the bloating and feeling of sickness.

I hope things improve for you soon :)

Sorry my reply is late...i had to go out. I eat the meal way after my shake, its day 3 now and still feeling bloated.

Linda.

Hey, regarding AAM- i found that as soon as i started allowing myself food on my first AAM it all went downhill from there- i need to abstain completely to stick to this crazy diet! I did LL and there you dont do an AAM at all- you have to get your GP to sign your form before you start to say its ok to do it, but cos he signed that form I just dont do AAM- i know its not a Cambridge form but its the same thing and I know I am healthy to do it. Its basically due to guidelines on VLCD stating you should have GPs permission if you wish to do a VLCD for more than 4 weeks- so Cambridge get past that by doing AAMW. Hope this helps- basically tho if ur fit to do CD without needing GPs signature you should be fine to skip AAM, although I would never recommend doing this without speaking to my CDC about it!

xx
