Hi all. I'm new too. I didn't get my pack till we'd this week started Tuesday tho had slim fast shakesfir breakie and dinner and fruit fir lunch so started wed evening on exante total. I'm not hungry but my cravings are awful I dream about food morn noon n nite will it affect it if I drink diet coke? If yes why btw I was really looking forward to my tomato soup but found it a bit yuk, and I am not a fussy eater at all suppose it will grow on me, have shook quite alot of white pepperin the soup too hope that is ok thanks for any advice xxx

Hi there and welcome.............. you cannot drink ordinary coke or diet coke as they have citric acid in them which will knock you out of ketosis but you can drink coke zero or dr pepper zero as they have malic acid instead which is ok. I hope this helps and that you do really well on Exante. xx

You can also have Asdas own diet coke.. I LOVE it and its onely about £1.70 for 4 x 2 litre bottles lol

Hi, i'm not a fan of soup so had the bumper shakes pack. I don't know any facts but people in here tend to have a little coke zero if they need to, I'm not going off the shakes, water and black coffee except for the add a meal week, I'm trying to re train my brain while I'm not having food x

jaxster some people manage with diet coke, calories arent going to affect you its just the hunger if it does stock Ketosis. Dont panic though.

I think some people are more sensitive to things than others, so some can have a bit of diet coke without it affecting ketosis, whereas for others smaller things affect them more easily.
But if there's a choice, it's safer to opt for Coke Zero or Dr Pepper Zero or Asda Diet Coke or some of the sparkling waters that are flavoured with malic acid.
Or you can buy some of the water flavourings from other vlcds, if you can get hold of them.
