3lbs down! WOOP WOOP!!!

Morning :)

I`m guessing most members won`t remember me as I was last here in July when I decided to take a break as my head wasn`t in it. I am now back to finish the journey I started and thankfully!! haven`t gained much since stopping my diet despite eating a lot of things I shouldn`t have!!

Anyway, This week, I decided to try and get back on track in readiness to start 810 plan tomorrow (seeing CDC this evening) and when I jumped on the Wii Fit this morning, It said I`d lost 3lbs!! :D

I`m soooo pleased!! As I really struggle to lose weight with my Underactive Thyroid and PCOS. I just hope I do as well when I start my proper diet as I still was never a big loser.

Still a loooooooong way to go  but I`m on my way!! :D

Hope everyone has a great day today :) I have the day off work as hubbie and older mini beasts have gone back but my little one hasn`t. We have bought some glue and glitter and paper to do drawing and painting etc together and in the afternoon we`re going to do some baking - I can`t wait!! :D :heartpump:

Hi Lise --

I remember you (the cool handle and I also have a SN child).

I haven't stepped on my WiiFit in ages -- because I am dreading seeing my Mii expand!!! LOL But, in honor of your loss (which is totally FAB)... I will do this morning and let you know the result.

I will meet my UK CDC this afternoon for the first time. So, we will be "officially starting tomorrow together". I have no idea what plan she will recommend for me... but, I started ssing on Dec. 27th using CD products I bought from the States. So, like you, I am getting ready to commit to this.

The art projects and baking sound like fun. My younger one started back to school today -- and my older doesn't go back to Uni until later this month!

I start tomorrow too (as off to see my cdc tonight)
Bit scared...though not sure why. I have a long way to go, but think if I make it through week 1, I'll get on a roll.
(SS - I also love Woo Woo's!)

Hi, well done on getting back on track. I struggle with losing weight and have PCOS and am borderline underactive thyroid but not on medication for it yet. How did you find Cambridge in helping to lose weight in terms of averages, I struggle losing weight on anything else but Cambridge is tough

Hi Mel x How are things with you and yours?

Good luck with your weigh in on the wii :) Mine told me I had gained 3lbs when I stepped on it 3 days ago, So today has brought me back to square one, But least it`s going in the right direction! ;)

I will take my WI tonight with the CDC as my official starting weight though - Dreading it!! I was 11st 5.5lbs when I had my last WI with her in July and the WF made me 11st 10lbs this morning  The 3lbs I`ve lost are what I gained over Christmas

Are the USA products any different to the UK ones? Do they have more choice etc? I will be doing SS+/810 plan again as my body cannot cope without solid food going through it.

Good luck!! We CAN do this and we WILL do this :D

I look forward to travelling the WL journey with you Xxx

Hi Jayellekay :)

Try not to be scared, I actually really enjoyed my time on 810 plan and was really pleased that it worked for me as most things don`t.

This board is wonderful for support and we`ll all be with you every step of the way Xxx

Woo Woos are lush aren`t they?!!! ;) hehe Xxx

Hi Nicola :)

I was dx with Underactive Thyroid when I was 17 and will be 39 in March  so have been on medication a long time, But am never stable :sigh:

I did find that my losses were less than others doing the diet, But I still had losses which for me was amazing as I really struggle so much usually. I believe this 3lbs loss is probably down to the fact that I have drastically cut my carbs as my body has a love/hate relationship with them :( and I`ve been having a bit of a carb fest lately hence gaining - It`s the only thing generally that makes me gain as I eat quite well generally which I think is why I didn`t pile loooooads of weight back on. I`ve been very lucky!

I have done all sorts (with breaks when I felt I needed them) over the last two yrs to lose a lot of weight and it has taken me time but I`m getting there :D I decided to try 810 plan last yr to try and lose it a bit faster and lost about a stone and a half in about 6 weeks before taking a break as my head wasn`t really in the right place and I was "only" a stone off goal and I felt happy with that for the time being.

I am currently trying to get funding for a TT which the PS has agreed I definately need (exercise etc hasn`t helped) but I have to have a BMI of 25 and have maintained it for 6 months so here I am, Back to finish my journey and lose the last bit (plus a bit more to allow for any small gains).

Good luck!!

Hi SS,

Thanks for asking the family (DH, DS and DD and dog) are all doing pretty well. How is your family?

Thanks for the good wishes re: my weigh in. I know it is going to be difficult because I will be finally admitting that I messed up after losing the 5 stone in 1988. However, I am trying to keep praising myself for taking this step in the right direction.

The American products can be viewed by googling Cambridge Diet US and checking out the website. The formula does not meet EU standards, but it meets USDA standards. The US programme is the original programme -- and has been around since the 1970s.

I ordered stuff from the States because they have a Soy Based formula called Food For Life. It seems that the UK programme has a lot larger selection than the FFL, but I am not sure how it compares to the regular US CD.

well done sacred silence, and glad you have over come to some extentthe underactive thyroid condition. The mind set thingis just so key to it all..as some fellow on a PBS program was saying weight loss probably has to start between the ears first. I still struggle mentally, but I am going to take some still time before I return to London to find that still place to get all of me of a similar mind set, cos I still behave - in my thinking as if someone is forcing me .

Has the carbfest thing settled down yet?
