Well after a 12 week stint on Lipotrim -31lbs i took a break over December with 14lbs to go till target however i have re evaluated my goal and added another stone plus the 4lbs i gained to it so I now have 32lbs to go!! I have a bizzare reasoning for this i don't know if anyone else has noticed this but as i got closer to my goal i got complacent and started to give into my cravings as i thought well im nearly there now really on reflection i suppose i just took my head outta the game!

Towards the end of my 12 weeks i had got fed up and had alot of hair thinning (i presume from the diet!) it was dramatic and scared the hell outta me however i have plenty of hair still and its already started to regain its fullness.

1 thing I don't have too worry about this time is giving up alcohol as i haven't touched a drop since i began in august go me!!

I don't feel like i failed at Lipotrim as i had always planned on finishing before xmas. I have read that its much harder to start a second time so I've decided to start a diary too keep me going!!

best of luck lou..theres lots of restarters around..including me...lets hope this time we get to goal without any blips...im shooting for 100 days 100 percent!!! heres hoping! set yourself a target maybe of a certain amount of days 100 percent? it might help you a little bit. And remember the hair will always grow back :) best of luck...diaries are a great way to write down how you feel, and a great thing to look back on when times get tough! ...xx

come to think of it Lou I think a few of us struggled at about 12 weeks....I know that I had to refeed but, boy, was I ready for it......if I was doing it again I would seriously consider doing a 12 week stint, having a break and consolidating my losses and then starting again.......you've done brilliantly to hardly put any weight on - you should be well chuffed:D

My hair's ok, I think, hairdressers for me tomorrow so perhaps she'll say otherwise, but my eyebrows seem a bit thin!

The diary idea is a brilliant one. I maintained one on my Blog until the op and then kept a food diary going on the Maintenance forum, still do:D

Day 1- so far so good! Not that hungry at all suppose im filling up on the old h2o!

Went too the chemist and she gave me lots of encouragement so made me feel at ease according to her scales i only gained 1lb so she as well as myself was pretty impressed!!!

day 1 nearly done, yay !!!!!!!

Hi Lou. Good luck for your restart :) Day 3 of a restart for me today. The hair loss is a bit shocking isn't it :( Mine's been falling out LOADS for the past few weeks. So now I'm worried that by restarting the diet whilst it's still falling out, I won't regrow it, and then it'll come out again when I up my cals in a few months and I'll be bald! lol. I'm sue that won't happen, but I expect it will go a lot thinner than it would if I wasn't restarting now. Just as well it's pretty thick to start with!

I'm definitely doing my weight loss in chunks to. 12 weeks is more than enough time on it I would say. It can drive you crazy lol.

Anyhow, good luck with day 2. Hope you're feeling okay :) xx

Well, I had my hair cut yesterday and my hairdresser didn't comment on my hair so it must be ok! She did comment on my weight loss though as I hadn't been since September, not long after I started LT!

Can't wait for my scar to be tough enough for me to actually wear jeans again! I haven't worn them for about 5 years as I refused to buy a size 16 when the 14's no longer fitted! Size 12's fitted before I had the op but the seam is right on my scar:eek: have lived in very soft trackies for the past 5 weeks which is a right bugger when I'm now thin enough for jeans, jeans, jeans!!

My hair has literally been coming out in handfuls when I wash it, and all over the place during day to day brushing. It was like it after I had the boys though, as your hair goes through a similar process during pregnancy. I had it 5 years ago when I did TFR as well. It rarely results in total baldness! lol. It doesn't happen to everyone though, so you may get away with it, although it could start over the coming weeks. Fingers crossed for you!
Hope you can enjoy your jeans soon!
xx

You look like you've got really thick hair Jayne so it must be a bit scary! Mine is quite fine and I've had tons of layers cut into it cos it's a pain trying to dry it at physio cos they've only got the kind of hairdryer that you get in hotels on bathroom walls.

I guess we all want to be thin but not bloody bald too......I think hair is constantly growing though, so thinning is unlikely to be permanent unless there's an underlying medical cause

Well day 3 just about over! :D;)

Had a headache most of yesterday but a few panadol and i was grand! I was hungry yesterday but today no hunger thank god and im feeling well not too tired! im off work tomorrow so minus the housework i dont intend doing much! A nice relaxing day hopefully i wont be too hungry now that i'll have time too think about it!!

Peeing non stop but managing to fit in the 2L of h2o!!

Delighted....i went into my fav shop to spend some xmas vouchers tried on a size 12 pair of jeans (i think they were generous sizes) but the 12 was swimming on me, 10 gave me a lovely muffin top but i could zip them so i decided to buy the 8 (hopeful thinking) sure i have a month to return them if needs be!!!

Now that's what I call positive thinking! A couple of months ago I couldn't get my size 12 jeans over my thighs but today I thought that I'd try them on and they zipped straight up!:D never going to get much smaller than that though......good for you!

Thanks Sandra realistically I only wanted to fit into size tens. i walked into the shop an thought right im gonna get a size 10 and fit into them in a few weeks (a bit of motivation!!) so i was shocked!! I didn't even attempt to try the 8 just quickly bought them before i could chicken out!!!! so i hope to fit into them by Valentines or at least the end of feb!!

Brilliant incentive Lou.. I am sure you will get them on, and you will look amazing!! x x

Thanks hun, but it is very premature.. I have piled it on since Xmas but am too scared to restart and put my weight UP again!! pmsl... I am due to restart soon, but have got a really good pharmacy who has let me buy the shakes and not use them cos hubby wants to do it too, and i couldn't afford £76 per week on LT (40 for him and 36 for me) unless i sold the kids on Ebay... I tried that but they were sent back as "not as described"!! lol

When i have bought the shakes i have had a weigh in, and have put on 12lbs (so far ) so i know i need to get back asap!! I have 5 weeks ready to start but have a dilemma about doing it at the same time as hubby..

You are doing great hun, keep it up x x x

Hiya Slimmersu, not at all premature look at your journey so far its amazing and your determined to get back on LT so thats half the battle don't knock yourself im sure pretty much everyone in the entire Christmas celebrating community has piled on the lbs!!!! you HAVE done amazing and you and your husband will both do great ok so yee may be a bit snappy but whats a few days of *****ing!

Just think of the end goal!

My OH needs to lose a few stone his family have high rates of diabetes and he got tested and he was pretty much told if he doesn't sort the weight he will def have it in the near future he's only 25 so its a bit scary he holds all his weight at his tummy but he's abnormally tall 6"7 so carries it really well he just cant afford the 85euro a week here in Ireland, so im hoping when im off this i can incorporate healthy eating and he will fallow suit!!

Sorry abit of a rant there !

Thank you for the kind comments hun x x x.. You rant away!! lol

Joe (OH) has got a belly on him too (but he is only 5'10) and he is starting LT on Monday.. It really is so expensive over here, so it must be crippling over there... Is it 85 euros for you????? I have family in Ireland and they say that they are really really struggling at the moment... I am going to do LT at the same time as Joe but i was very lucky cos my chemist let me buy my normal weeks supply all over Xmas even though i wasn't going to use it so that i could go on it with Joe,but would only end up paying for his cos i had mine already (I hope that makes sense!! lol)
Joe was told he was on his way to needing medication for high cholesterol and i think that worried him so i can imagine how you and your OH felt.... I am finishing before Joe and am going to go straight to Weight Watchers to learn how to eat properly to keep the weight off.

You are doing great so fingers crossed you will finish soon and minimise the cost... Good luck hun x x

Hiya SlimmerSu,

Its €65 for women and €85 for men, ya You've given me an idea maybe when i finish up he could give it a go! i shall suggest that too him and maybe by the time im finished will let him get in the right frame of mind for it cause i don't think he's quite there yet! your chemist seems very good we're lucky some guys have horrible pharmacists long may it last x

Day 5

Well its early day 5, im not hungry but feeling a bit weak since waking up so i'll be having an easy day today an let it pass!!
Schools back tomorrow i was hoping to start back the gym but i'll just take it easy see how i feel don't want too be passing out!!

went to the cinema last night too see little fockers was funny and once it started i didnt miss the usual fizzy drink and fatty snacks only whilst waiting for it too begin i thought oh i cant do this....but i did!

Another day done and dusted bring on today x

woo well done!! im so used to going to the cinema with just my bottle of water.. i love looking at everybody aimlessly munching away and it gives me pleasure to sit there and think.. your popcorn and drink and chocolate cost the best part of 10euro and it totals at over a days worth of calories..no thank you!!!! :) think about the weight you would have put on from the cinema alone had you of eaten!!!...:) glad you enjoyed the movie and best of luck today! x

Well done Lou.. Was the film good?.. I want to see that too, the others were soooo funny x x
