Hi All

I have a bag of frozen parsnips in the freezer (obviously!) and was wondering would I need to use sins for them or are they free?

Thanks

Hiya

Depends what you are doing plan-wise?
I believe they are free on EE and Green and can use them as a HEXB on red??

I think it would depend on what kind of parsnips they are.

If they are processed ones coated in something for roasting (like Aunt Bessie's) they would be synned.

If they are naked parsnips that you bunged in the freezer, they would be free.

I would just check the ingredients list, so long as it doesn't include any oil or flour based ingredients, then they should be free on green or EE.

I'm always suspicious of frozen foods now, as they often add things to them to make them taste nicer when they're cooked!

Just looked and they're freshly frozen but the back of the packet says they're pre-fried in sunflower oil (6%). I'm usually careful about frozen veg too but bought them before I decided to get back into dieting. I think I'll need to sin them?
