getting set for a re-start

Hi everyone...

They say the first step is the hardest, and after a festive season of plenty, and a holiday of a lifetime, where I gave myself carte blanche to enjoy whatever I wanted, I'm now gearing up for some hardcore Dukaning in January (at least).

I hope I'm not alone, and that this board is going to be buzzing with re-starters, maintainers and motivated newbies set to give it their all.

I'm hoping to get going tomorrow... 5 days PP. I'll weigh, measure and start with the excercise and healthy eating. I'm also going to take photos (gulp) for comparison.

I'm doing a supermarket shop today, although I hate buying for more than a day or two at a time. Then a 'last supper' tonight...

What's everyone's plan?

Grovergirl, I'm restarting too. Good luck to us starting tomorrow morning!

I'm on my way to the supermarket now.
6 days pp planned(so not to have pv at work Friday) then back to 1/1.
No social things booked this month.
Not weighing myself until jan 31st.

Good will power to all.

I think I'm only going to weigh once a week. I know that's not the 'Dukan way', but I will torment myself otherwise.

On the social side... I find it easy enough to eat around a menu once
On PV, but will have to play the 'antibiotic' card, followed by the 'off it for January' one as far as alcohol is concerned...

Best of luck to us all for speedy results. The good thing is that we know it works!

good luck all . ive been back on attack since tuesday and shifted a couple of lbs already
im sure we are going to have a great dukan new year .
I only weigh in once a week now aswell

I am too a once a week weigher..... except this week. Doing 3 days of Attack and going to weigh daily. Then official WI on Thursday after Attack has finished. I just hate having a WI day on Monday.

Good luck all xxxx

Morning restarters! I too am aiming for a weekly weigh in (and, if I cede midweek, I won't tell you guys!). Main difference for me is that the official weigh in will be on a Monday! For too long now I've been taking liberties at weekends which I am determined to stop henceforth. A Monday weigh in should help with that.

Either four or five days' attack then I usually do 4PP / 3PL but will alternate this time. I am thinking of fixing my PP and PVs for ease of planning ahead (ie PP always Mon, Wed, Fri + Sun appeals, leaving PVs for Tues, Thurs and Sat each week. Easier for my lifestyle with travel at weekends and different fridges to coordinate!)

Good luck to all... I weighed in this morning, despite having planned to just do a month Dukan blind... I had guestimated 82K+ so quite "pleased" with a stone increase over Christmas!

I still weigh myself daily, Even over xmas where I have to admit I was a pig I still weighed myself and recorded it.......Only time I didnt weigh myself in the 3mths was in NZ last month as I didnt want to use other scales, but as soon as I got home I weighed myself and its amazing how much weight can come on in 10 days.... I lost it again in 3 days but I like to keep track of it all the time, (My sister says obsessed, I say Im never going to get barrel liked again :)) xxx

I have to admit I too weigh daily. Had four mornings over xmas when we were away that I couldn't weigh myself - by the time we got back home I was starting to eye up the chocolates that we'd been given, but after the weigh in the next morning discovering another loss my interest in the chocolates disappeared! I find it hugely motivating to see slightly smaller numbers every day, and if the scales go up slightly as they are wont to do on occasion I think that just strengthens my resolve. Might drop to bi weekly in conso but I'm happy with daily for now.

It's true that, in attack, daily weighing is motivating. But it's not always the case in cruise phase and as it's messed me up before seeing an "unjust" increase or STS, I'm going to try to stay away... was hard this morning not jumping on, mind!

Jo I used to WI everyday for years and then it all got to obsessive and I gave it up for 11 months. Hence that is why I think I have a phobic of them. It's the not knowing or having control of what I weigh (knowledge wise that is).

Once a week for me now, with the odd mid week peek? Maybe...

That's what I'm aiming for too Bren. Once a week, and on a Monday (as if ever I'm swayed, it would be the weekend, so I'm hoping a Monday weigh in will reinforce my motivation if I waiver!!).

But yes a peak mid-week seems inevitable!

I'm back on the scales day and night, and its not good.
I didnt weigh at all over Xmas and was fine, I knew my new jeans were tight which motivated me back on track but once I stood on again it becomes obsessive.
