WhitePigeon's Food Diary

Hi guys,

I'm very new but have decided to throw myself into this experience and start my food diary right away.

I've 'done' SW previously and found it helped me to lose weight brilliantly, however I fell off the bandwagon and although haven't put a lot of weight on, I know that I need to start losing weight again and SW is the ideal way for me...

Please feel free to give any advice as I'm still learning and could do with an experienced SW'er to take me under their wing so to speak!:D

29/12/2010
B: 4 BGTY sausages (2 syns), baked beans & mushrooms fried in frylite
L: A bag of french fries. (4.5 syns) :sigh:
T: Chicken, veg and egg noodle stirfry.
Sn later this eve: 2 x weetabix (HexB) with milk (HexA)

Does this look OK as an Extra Easy day?

Thanks guys, here's to a skinnier 2011! :)

Hi welcome to the forum. I too fell off the wagon and will be back on it in 2011. I only really do the Green days so can't advise much on the others. Good luck for 2011 x

B: 3 BGTY sausages, baked beans & fried mushrooms in frylite.
L: Two brown rolls (1 HexB + 6 syns) with lean ham and 1 tbsp of pickle. (1 syn)

Still to come:
T: Ham, jacket potato & salad, followed by a mullerlight with some sort of fruit.

(Is anyone sensing a theme of ham? Haha, we're trying to use up the massive joint post-Xmas!)

Tomorrow I'm going to aim to make sure that I'm having 1/3rd superfree foods on my plate, aswell as only drinking vodka & diet coke tomorrow evening, I'll try and keep a count but no promises. ;)

Hi Taz, good luck for 2011, I'm sure we'll get there in the end! I used to love green days, filling up on plenty of pasta and SW wedges. :D

It really is good food! I used to do wedges with garlic salt, very yummy! I also used to like using the Rooster potatoes, the red ones. They taste much better

I've not fallen off the wagon, I've just been celebrating the new year, lazing at the boyfriend's and... not eating too awfully.

Today's not been great but tomorrow is the almighty beginning of uni again which will hopefully start me in a good routine. I'm rubbish without routine. Here's to 2011. :D

B: 2 x weetabix (HexB) with milk (HexA), banana
L: Brown 57g roll (6 syns ) with ham & 1 tbsp of pickle (1 syn) and a bag of french fries. (4 syns)
Sn: Apple

To come:
T: Homemade syn free chilli con carne with wholegrain rice followed by a mullerlight.

Not a great day tbh, as I'm wasting syns on a bread roll, however it was a nice roll, so... meh. I need to have a look for some syn free lunches, a roll filled with something is just so easy.

B: 2 x weetabix (HexB) with SS milk (HexA), banana.
Sn: Apple
L: 57g bread roll (6 syns) with ham & tbsp of pickle (1 syn), bag of french fries (4 syns) and mullerlight.

To come:

T: Chilli con carne with wholegrain rice, again. Exciting! Haha.

I really need to make more of an effort with having my 1/3rd of a meal superfree vegetables... I'm going to make a superfree filled pasta sauce tomorrow and freeze some small pots of it so hopefully that will help in boosting my veg intake. :)

That's a good idea, make a big batch so you know you have some when you want it and it will be quick and easy

Just ate a full fat naughty cold sausage that was calling me in the fridge, tut. Bad! :( 100% tomorrow!

On a far more positive note, I'm going to begin weighing at my friend's house as a few (5 of us) are all trying to shed the pounds and as we all get on well, hopefully it should spur us all on a bit! :)

That's a great idea. It will be like your own weight loss group. It will be brilliant support

Thanks Taz. :) It was really good actually, we used my friend's wii fit, I had forgotten how much fun it can be (we've got one at home, but I must admit, it's in the loft somewhere...) we all weighed in on it and set our goals for the next two weeks and then went on the Just Dance game, which was amusing to say the least. :D

Had a bit of a crap day today, emotionally, I've just felt rubbish and this has reflected upon my eating, a lot of it I think is tiredness so hopefully an early night and a restful weekend should help that out.

What a great idea, I have just offered to friend to join me and hubby, can't imagine the 3 of us playing Just Dance - lol!

Do you find keeping your diary motivational, I love keeping mine esp when i need distraction from lurkin xmas chocs!!

Good luck for your wi this week, let us know how you and your friends are gettng on, nothing like a bit of competitive banter x

It was so funny, hope you have a laugh when you guys do it! :D

Yeah, the diary keeps me from straying too far although I need to stop eating these bloody brown rolls, I don't even like them that much, haha.

Thanks donnajt, I'll update after WI next week and good luck to you too. :)

I have got a friend to join me this year in the battle of the flab and she has joinned here. It really does make a difference to know you aren't alone

I'm still here guys, the SW plan is currently on hold for a day or so because I've come down with tonsillitis and am struggling to eat normal food so muddling along with soup!

Hopefully I'll feel better asap, saw the doctor earlier on and now started on course of antibiotics although currently in bed feeling rough as due to shivery/fever feeling. :(

Oh no! Tonsilitis is nasty. I always find that gargling soluble aspirin takes the edge off. I gargle the stuff 3 times then add some squash to the rest and drink it for the full effect. I hope you are feeling better soon, you are right to put the plan on hold and down the soup

I'm alive! My throat is definitely on the mend and I've almost completed the course of antibiotics, thankfully, 'coz antibiotics make me feel rubbish anyway! :(

I've not been making brilliant choices with food, and if I'm honest, I've probably 'used' the tonsillitis a bit e.g. allowing myself creamy soup and icecream resulting in a 2LB GAIN this week at weigh in. I can't say I'm suprised, however now I'm well again, it's spurred me on. I'm aiming to lose the 2lb this week and more if possible so I need to try really hard.

I'll update with today's food diary later on. :)
