Making the move to Exante!

Hello Exante peeps!

I lost 5 stone on Lighter Life, reached my goal weight and completed the 12 week Route to Management program (where you re-introduce food). However, these past few weeks i've realised that i'm still not quite happy with the weight i've reached, i've put on just under half a stone (partly with my glycogen stores re-filling) and whilst i'm still over 4 stone lighter than I was I still feel 'big' and not quite comfortable.

So long story short i've decided I want to lose another 1 1/2 - 2 stone.
I haven't told my friends/family yet as I know they'll think i'm crazy but I feel excited to lose this final bit of weight.

I liked Lighter Life, but felt that the counseling wasn't really me, and Exante is such good value for money!

I just have a few questions:
1) Are there any really bad flavours? (the LL tomato is horrible!) As i'll be ordering the bumper pack.
2) Is there a equivalent to the LL Route to Management, a way of re-introducing food when you've reached your goal weight?
3) Do you feel hungry only having 3 packs a day? As on LL it's 4?

Hi Hanmac. Well done on your loss so far - youve done amazingly well.

The flavours really are down to personal taste - there isnt one of us on here who like the same flavours.

The refeed process isnt very well documented but it does explain it in the literature which comes with the packs - couldnt tell you exactly what it is as I have a while to go before I need to worry about that.

As to your final question, once youre in ketosis it shouldnt matter that youre only having 3 packs a day - you shouldnt have the hunger pangs to deal with.
 
I'm pretty sure that at under 25 BMI you're not supposed to be on a VLCD-you'd have to do the option of 3 packs a day and a meal.With only 2 stone to lose I think you'd be crazy to just have the packs.
 
Hi Han! I haven't been around for a couple of months but I'm restarting on 2nd January. When I moved over from LL I split my bar into two so I could have 4 "meals". Like JoanneM said, none of us agree about which flavours to have/avoid - we all have such different tastes, but you'll soon find out what you like! Also as you know tastes change as you get used to the packs. Will you start an Exante diary? x
 
3 packs a day is fine you know, no hunger once you get past the day 4/ketosis thing. Drink lots of water too.
I just stick to the cold shakes though I am not a fan of the vanilla flavour I can manage the rest.

Good luck, it wont take you long to get down to where you want to be.

I've put on about 6 pounds so my BMI is now above 25, I just can't bring myself to update my vital stats yet!

I would do the other solutions but for me i'm an 'all or nothing' sort of person, and I just find it so much easier to do the total solution, as I know if I do one of the other solutions with a meal a day i'll find myself tempted to treat myself and let other foods creep back in. But with the total solution I know that absolutely no food is allowed, and I find that easier. Plus it's quicker!

Nice to see a familiar LL face! That's a great idea splitting the bars in two, they seem a lot bigger than the LL bars so am looking forward to trying them! I'll be starting on the 3rd of January :) Will probably do an Exante diary, like to have somewhere to ramble on as it fills up the time i'd usually spend eating!

hi hanmac welcome to exante with regards to the flavours everyone is diff but i couldnt stand the mushroom or tomato and basil and shakes wasnt too keen on strawberry or vanilla but i could drink them then 2nd month i decided to go for just the shakes and now i have them all hot as in this weather it really does help and i add coffee to the vanilla, strawberry and banana it sounds weird but is really nice and i look forward to it every day its crazy cos ive never drank coffee.lol.

when you come to the end of total food replacement you move to working solutions and you have 3 shakes and slowly reintroduce foods by adding a meal.

and finally having 3 shakes is funilly enough satisfying i think because there are more calories also there are more grams so you could actually split the packs to make 4 or as lucy said with the bar although i used to munch that bar and there was no way i was leaving half lol theyre so moreish i could have had more than one. also having green tea helps i have green tea with nettle as i found its tastier than plain old green tea and if you find the first few days hard have 4 packs until you get in to ketosis.

Ello. I'm in the exact same boat as you. Completed 17 weeks of abstinence on LL and lost around 8 stone. Also did RTM. Put 4 stone back on over the last 2 years and am now looking to exante for the same reasons as you. I don't need the CBT any more and the price it totally right.

Anywho, I started today and have so far had a Vanilla shake and mushroon soup. I thought the vanilla was fine but I liked the Litgherlife one better (I blend all mine with Ice). The mushroon soup surprised me quite a bit. Really liked it. I've bought two bumper packs so am in this for at least 8 weeks. Hoping for around a 3 stone loss. Good luck!
