ive recently made the desicion to go on weight watchers again instead of healthy eating, but the problem is ive been invited to a few parties, i have xmas dinners and family dinners over xmas and new year.

Ive decided to carry on "watching" what i eat etc, but starting my diet afresh on 1st January 2011 =) because then at least i can also get some decent foods in....

Good desicion or bad??

You have to do what is right for you, no-one else can make the decision for you.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do - althought it looks to me as though you've already decided you're starting in the new year.

Hi....I think keeping an eye on it over the festive period is a good idea, I mean why pig out and then have an extra four or five pounds to shift in January ?? I'm trying just not to gain, and if I have a bit of a pig out I rein it in the next day

Good luck with WW in the New Year, have you tried WW before and got good results ???
I still have a load of lard to shift !!!

It seems like a plan to me.

I'm not sure if this will help but years back I started out just writting down everything I put into my mouth and being totally honest with myself. Just doing this helped the weight to go down a bit as if I didn't want to write it down I didn't have it.

Wheneever you start WW I wish you well.... and let us know how it goes? OK!?

I think it is a good idea...but...to perhaps allow yourself a few extra indulgences over the festive period. That way, you get to celebrate, but will keep your food/drink intake somewhat under control. Whereas if you didn't start dieting you'd be in the mindset "who cares, I'll just stuff myself full of unhealthy stuff because I'm starting dieting in the New Year"
