Christmas Day menu

Back to SW again
Hi all

I've been planning and re-planning what I'm going to eat on Christmas Day, and would love to hear what you have planned too :D

B - A toasted Mim with cheese and marmite, and lashings of tea
L - Roast chicken, celeriac chips, cabbage and leek and gravy
D - Leftover chicken and cauli mash
S - nuts (first time since August ), and mini cauli base pizzas, and of course pork scratchings and Atkins chocolate
W - will try and glug some down
A - yesss!!! G&T, some wine with lunch or dinner and maybe a glass or 3 of Baileys.

I was going to go mad and have a carb fest - pies, pain au raisin and so on, but think the best present I can give myself will be to take it easy :D

We're away for a few days over christmas, so I will be presented with a dinner - no idea what, but prolly T&H, and I'm such a weirdo, I LOVE sprouts, so can pig out on those. Plan to keep it semi-legal like Susie is doing, although I do have a major problem with trifle, so may have to succumb to a bowl or five if there is any. ;)

I also have some Thornton's chocolates to take away with me, and hopefully can substitute cheese for a lot of the usual desserts - don't really like christmas cake or pudding, so I won't feel deprived without those. Alcohol will be wine (probably starting with buck's fizz at breakfast) wine and more wine.

I hope not to do too much damage over the festive season, hate the idea of having to go through induction afterwards! Hate the carb cravings! :)

Susie I think you've got it spot on there! Keeping on track with some nice drinks thrown in, you won't feel deprived with all that lovely food and you won't regret it after! Everyones a winner!

Oooh I forgot about trifle, I love it too Water - my gran used to make a wicked one that had so much sherry in it, it walked on its own the following day (if there was anything left!) :D

And thanks Jupiter - I am sooo weak willed so will see how things actually pan out on the day :D

Ooooh, I like your menu Lisa! :D

Love it Lisa - great menu!

I am going to attempt
B - flaxmeal porridge with cream
L - turkey, sprouts, cauli, a bit of stuffing, bacon/chipolata rolls, gravy
D - more turkey, pickles, a lump of pork pie, cheese

Naughty stuff - a mince pie, small portion of xmas pud and custard

A - is it Christmas - I think so lol
W - as much as I can mainline
E - lifting the turkey out of the oven lol

Some Christmas Tree/Dec pictures for you - and one of the snow at the front of the house

Thats because all the pressies are locked away from dogbert or he would have opened them all already (not just his but everybodys!) he is prone to a bit of destruction so we have to be careful what we have lying around the place lol
