...and I'm only half way there!!!

Well, actually, a little bit past half way. As you might know, my Big Goal has been to lose ten stone. I have now lost five stone, one and half pounds. In 14 weeks. This week had been my best loss since beginning Cambridge - 7.5lbs!! :D This was also my Christmas goal from the very start, and I've done it with time to spare!!

I still can't -really- see a physical difference, but I can feel one. I'm out of breath a lot less, I can work faster, harder and my feet don't hurt. That's all good.

It feels weird, having less to lose than I have already lost. I never really believed at be at this point. 70+ pounds always seemed so so so far away, so it's amazing to think it's here after only three and a half months.

This week I have also made the decision to have Christmas Eve evening and Christmas Day off CD. I know it will set my weight loss back a week or so, but I'm honestly okay with that. When I told my CDC and Dad, they were both supportive, but said something along the lines of 'you deserve it', and I didn't correct them, but I wanted to say 'no, I don't'. Not because I don't think that my weight loss is amazing, believe me, I'm the most gob-smacked, but because I don't want to think of food as a reward. I'm going to eat because Christmas Eve/Day bring much delicious and fun food. No other reasons at all. I'm hoping this is the start of a healthy attitude for me. :)

On a final note, as of Wednesday, I will have been on SS for 100 days. Squee.

every one is doing so well on this i cant get my doctor to sign for this and i cant get on to anything was doing xante but gone to pot on it i need some one to weight me every week
 
that's wonderful. you do deserve to have a wonderful time at christmas and remember that you're eating for social reasons, getting together with family is a nice thing to do and it does involve the eating side of it too. at some point, closer to goal, you will see that you can't avoid social occasions. just pull back the next day :D
 
wow thats fabulous hun , you will be at goal before you know it :) I think you are right having a few days off , I found that having a 'occassion ' to look forward to it made me more focused and I found that I ate much more carefully and it helps you to realise that you dont have to stuff a box of chocolates to enjoy them , if you have more than a few you will feel bloated and sick !!

congratulations on your achievement youve done so well, enjoy your time at xmas im planning to have xmas day and boxing day off well when i say off i no i only really want the turkey dinner the other treats dont seem as tasty as a cooked dinner lol
