Hey Guys

For the past month I've been loosing and gaining the same 3lbs, I never go over 202.5 and never under 199lbs! I've not changed my exercise program (doing x2 spin and x2 box-r-circuits a week) and been doing EE Whilst I have noticed change my my shape, the lbs just arent shifting!!

I know some people go to fish days to shake things up but am a veggie that dont eat fish so any suggestions what I can do to get this moving again?

Hi ya.
If you say you have noticed a change in your shape it maybe because you are doing a good amount of exercise that you are putting on muscle, remembering that per volume muscle weighs heavier than fat.
The purpose of things like 'fishy' weeks is to shake up what your eating.
Do you tend to eat the same things??

Try to vary your foods, try new foods you have never tried before. make sure each lunch an dinner is different, and i try not to have the same dinner 2 weeks running. our firm favourites might make an apperance every other week, but not every week.
i do tend to have the same breakfast, but have in the last couple month changed it ( to the same now) but i went from readybrek to porridge with fruit and the last pesky ponuds i have gained over target and sts for weeks, disspeared :)

you could even try NO exercise for a week. i have read on here, people have not exercised for a week due to other reasone, but reported a good loss that week and it kick started their metabolism again.
Maybe even have a flexi day - again often when people have had a unplanned blow out they report a good and unexpected loss.
Everyones bodies are different and there is an element of trial and error. If you gain, well all that lost is a week, and you'll know that whatever you tried didn't work, but you wont know till you try them.

good luck

If you like quorn products maybe you could try switching from EE to red plan for a week or even green and see if this gives your body a shake up.

You have done really well so far!! Have you kept a food diary and got someone to check it? There could be a small something in there which is doing the damage.

Hope the scales move soon for you!!

xx

I can only suggest you eat a variety of foods. Try increasing the amount of superfree foods you eat. Drink plenty of water, make sure you have your syns. Yes post your diary so we can take a look.

Thats all I can think off for now. Before I reached target I'd played with the same 4lbs for several weeks.

Sweet83 I just don't understand the 'red' days using quorn, why would anyone want a red week without meat or fish:confused:.

hi hon am a bit confused as if you are a vegetarian then surely green days would be better for you than ee as you would have teh extra hex a and b options?

Oh yeah, was half asleep when i posted this morning...lol hadnt even noticed the EE and veggie bit!

I am a veggie and do 100% green. I too cant see the point in a veggie RED week, especially if you dont eat fish. I VERY occasionally have a EE day if i want more fish in a day.

@ Ronnie - when i initially started at the groups I was a chicken veggie, but now I've dropped the chicken out of my diet but still continued with EE as its all I knew...am doing SW on my own now as really can't afford the classes but still have the books etc so will have to look into doing GD and getting my head round that - thanks for feedback though.

@HH - I definitely need to eat a variety of food, food has been getting really boring for me lately maybe once I've checked out the GD's might open my eyes to something I werent seeing on EE!

@ Sweet83 - thanks luv, I dont want to discount the weight I have lost but so annoying when you think you're under 200 only to find the next week you're not...hmmm!

@ Honey - I think what am getting out of the replies is that I need more variety, breakfast is the same everyday, special K!! But gotta admit am so bored with that cant think of what else to have. The no exercise thing am currently doing only because I've busted my knee and as of Wednesday just gone I've not been exercising but will be back next Wednesday so hopefully that'll help and will def look at changing to GD's and getting more variety in my diet.

Really appreciate the time y'all have taken to get back to me. If anyone is on GD's and have some ideas for breakfast/lunch - that'll be great

Thanks guys!!

@reddayveggiedoubters...

It's good for controlling carb portion sizes and can be very effective. Soya Mince,
tofu, quorn, can all be used in place of red day meat but your portion sizes on the carbs are restricted. If you are someone who is prone to carb based gains, being on a heavy carb diet might not be the best way to lose.

Yeah i see your point, just figured the point of red day is that meat is unlimited.
Guess i just have good self control so would just eat less carbs on a green day if carb gains were an issue. suppose to me saying i am on a red day and still eating Quorn etc with less carbs wouldnt change anything in my head to a green day with less carbs
but i guess for some they need the boundries of RED saying only certain amount of carbs to keep them on the straight and narrow.
