I haven't been on here for a while. The last month has been quite stressful, I've gone from one week of being 100% to the next being horrific and eating everything.

I keep trying to get back on track, especially when I have only 1 stone to Target! but I'm so out of control. I have a crazy sugar cravings, which lead to excessive binging. I even get to the point when I can't be bothered with food or meals would rather eat half a packet of biscuits, but that's exasperating my sugar cravings.(if ya know what I'm yabbering about)

Also, this week I passed my driving test finally, and have been celebrating a bit too much, with that aswell.

I've been letting my really bad habits come back too. Like my eating junk food secretly etc... which is what I used to do. I need a big kick up the bum!!!!! :(

It's taken me almost 3 years to lose this weight, I can't afford to forget that and give up now!!

hi atchonblimp21 first congratulations on passing ur test :happy096: secondly draw a line under the last bad day and start afresh you have done so well losing the weight, try and feel how good it felt when u lost ur weight, i have also secretly binged usually in the loo yuk lol try and eat more at meal times so that ur less liable to binge later, i am a chocoholic and was using my syns for treats in the evening but decided i needed to try and wean myself off sugary treats so am now using most of my syns as part of my main meal and just allowing myself a hi-fi bar in the evening...if ur tempted to binge try and think about how peed of with urself ur going to be u CAN do it :whoopass:(couldnt find a kick up the arse lol) sorry gone on a bit good luck stay strong x

I'm not experienced enough to be giving advice as quite new to the forum, but I would perhaps try and address the stress.

Then I think the simplicity of SW will do the rest. It is a very easy diet and concept, so long as you stick to it (easier said than done possibly).

I'm a great fan of planning. Write down your menus a week or at least a couple of days in advance and shop accordingly.

Also, cook meals - fresh meals from scratch. That also helps me not only plan (and batch freeze) but control exactly what I'm having.

All I need to do is follow simple instructions - if I put the blinkers on and exclude all outside distractions (believe me at present I have more than most and many an excuse to give up or binge) well, let's just say it works for me!

I even make the time after getting up at 6am and back from work at 5 - instead of flopping down in front of TV/PC I will spend a couple of hours cooking.

The point of this rather long post? - If I didn't plan it would simply be a case of calling into the chippy on the way from work, snacking on crisp, sandwiches etc.

Write it all down, start a food diary or an SAS log available from consultant etc.

Good luck!

Hiya,

You've done so well with your weight loss and now you've passed your driving test, really well done :)

My advice would be to think back (if you can) to the day before you started to lose weight. Write down all the reasons you had in your head at the time as to why the excess weight must go. In addition, remember how you felt about yourself at the time. I feel this is a matter of you re-focussing. Do that and I'm sure you'll be back on the path you've done so well to stay on for such a long time.

You know that you have to get back on track so take it one day at a time. Sometimes you have to take it one meal at a time and concentrate on being on plan. It'll take a bit of effort at first but after one day on plan, you can go for two etc. Come on here and tell us how it's going, whether good or bad and any replies will spur you on.

You've done so well and what's happening now isn't the end of the world unless you don't pull yourself out of it. If you put weight on, you'll only have to start again, so you might aswell start again right now.
I'll be watching out for your progress so take a deep breath and start straight away xx

Hi all, thank you for your comments, it really means alot.

...and it has helped, I've been looking at old pictures of myself and remembering how far I have come, and how much of a different person I am now, for the better. and how much better I feel and think now. Though my confidence isn't great. It's still 100% better then it used to be. That person was gone a long time ago, and she needs to stay their!!! while I go on with my life and do things I never thought was possible because of my weight.

Well, I've planned some meals, got my shopping list and I'm even thinking of joining a gym, as it might give me the motivation to stay strong, if I'm working my butt off as well! lol

Thanks all ...will let you know how it goes :D xx

I reckon getting into the exercise habit could be just the boost you need to get you going again, it doesnt have to be an expensive gym membership (unless you can afford it!), maybe a fitness dvd like Davina Fit or a dance class like Zumba? Try something new, it might just give you a boost. Well done on the amazing loss so far xxxxx

Well I've done it...I'm fully back!!! ...woohoo!!!

I have stuck to Red Days recently, which has actually given me a bit of a boost n Loving it.

My sugar cravings have gone down considerably since lowering my carb intake.

I'm full all the time, because I'm eating lean protein. And my meals are planned and really tasty so I don't feel I'm missing out.

It's making me eat more vegetables because I now need something to go with the meat etc...

and I've started drinking a little bit more too.

It's awesome. This is the perfect plan for me. I've done green days but I tend to overeat and feel hungry all the time, and crave alot. E/E is good but I'm old fashioned and like having my 2HAs and 2HBs. Feeling much more enthusiastic again to get rid of this last stone. I know I can do it :D xx

only you can do this - and you can and you will. THIS is just a bit of a blip and shows that you will get back on track because you are coming onto the forum and writing about it.

In the past I have lost 2 stones about 5 times and then regained it all again plus a little bit more each time..................don't be a yo-yo'er - ONLY have in the house what you can eat safely.

Anything after that you will have to go fetch from the shop - so be it - if you want a chocolate bar then you can look it up and think - is it worth the walk to the shop to get a chocolate bar that is 12 syns - IF you feel that it is - then get dressed and make sure you walk all the way there to go get that chocolate bar. DO NOT BUY 2 or more sweet things - only have in the house what you can safely eat.

We know you can do it - YOU know you can do it - kick up the bum. There, you are now back on track lady.
