hi,

i just started taking xenical and on tuesday it will be exactly 3 weeks. I have also reduced my calories to around 1500 not really strictly counting and have reduced fats. I cut out the pop and if really craving it will have a diet coke with lemon. I cut out the junk but once in a while i will have something choclately due to lost of control. started walking about 3 times a week for 30minutes as had a c section 3 months ago and anything more rigorous causes pain. I still haven't noticed any weight lost or inches lost. So my question is how long does it really take before xenical starts taking effect and is it possible that xenical just doesnt work for me?
Also i am from pakistan and our food cant be cooked without oil but i have really really cut back on the oil.:break_diet:

You posted a few days ago that you'd lost 3lbs in 2 weeks, which is great. It may not be what you wanted, but its still a loss. Don't forget that Xenical is not some miracle drug that will melt all your fat away over night, it is merely an aid to your weight loss, you still have to do all the hard work. You're making the changes to your lifestyle though, and eventually reap the rewards. Its hard not to be impatient I know, but in all honesty, the slower the weight loss, the greater the chance of the weight staying off.
With regards to the oil, I totally understand what you say about your culture, but also bear in mind that oil, any oil, is 99% fat and even a tiny amount may give you a side effect ( and that it can take up to 72 hours for a side effect to happen). If you honestly can't cut out the oil, then I think you're going to get a fair few side effects, and that you might find that the tabs are really not for you.
