what would you recommend? I did ww and found it tedious counting points, getting my calculator out at every opportunity and weighing things.... uurrrghhhh. So slimming world fair enough only been on it for 1 week but enjoying it more x

I think it's safe to say that on here everyone will say Slimmingworld lol
I have always battled with my weight, and this is the only time I have every managed to loose weight and stick to a proper healthy eating plan for longer than a day!

im confused with this website didnt relaise was just the slimming world part as saw other diets on here but glad it is as only wnated advice form other SW peeps xx

I've not tried any other diets because up until a few years ago I was a real skinny minny (only 8st when I was 8 months pregnant!).

I joined Slimming World at the end of July and have been slowly (1/2 - llb a week) and am now at my target weight and having to learn how not to continue losing more as I don't really want to go any lower so need some ideas on how to maintain.

No I meant this part of the forum, this part is just slimmingworld x

Slimming World is brilliant. I don't feel as though I'm on a diet at all. And the results speak for themselves, whereas I've never found a diet that has worked for me long term before, or that I've been able to stick to.
So I'll say SW all the way!

For me, SW is the one I've been on the longest and the one I've maintained a target weight on. However, the most effective diet I've ever followed was Atkins.
The weight losses were fabulous, I felt really good, I looked good and I got to my lowest weight ever.
It just wasn't sustainable for me though. Too much planning and cost too much.
I did enjoy it though.

It's SW for life now, been following it for over 3 years and I'll not stop. It really is a plan for life for me and my family.

Slimming World for me too! :D

This is my 3rd week and Im finding the flexibality brilliant and it just 'fits' into my lifestyle. theres ALWAYS something to eat, Im never hungry and theres some yummy recipies out there!! x

Definately sw, i have been on cambridge diet, weight watchers, special k and xenical and failed miserably in all of them. The most i lost was 3 pounds from the special k diet and i really hated all them because i hate that restrictive diet feeling. Sw really works and isnt that restrictive and i could see myself eating like from now on x

Slimming World! I honestly no longer understand when people say they're struggling on a diet, or "have tried all diets under the sun but none work..." How can this not work?

I can't wait to get back on 100% track once I squeeze this baby outta me in April!

Spaghetti bolognaise, home made burgers, egg, chips and beans... How can you not love something where the only weighing to be done is of junk foods (which everyone should eat in moderation anyway!)

Slimming world - the diet where you eat real food and lose weight :D

I have done Rosemary, WW and SW and of all of them - i lost the most weight on SW. I did lose lots on WW, but regained it - and then have had to lose it with SW!!!

Slimming World was always about - but i didnt understand how easy it was....wish i had joined earlier!!!

Lol you're not going to get anyone recommending any diet other than SW on the SW section ;)

im on my third week of sw and lost 8lb so far so i would agree on the sw diet over ww andf rosermary conely which i have tried before. the only question i have about sw is- why does it work and the others dont ????

have tried every diet available they all work short term but think u have to follow a plan like s/w to be able to stick to it long term i have been following it for 3 months i usually only last 3 weeks at the most :D

I did Rosemary Conley a few years back, managed to lose nearly 2 stone but was very slow and very hungry! much prefer SW, have lost the weight in a shorter period, love the support of the group and rarely been hungry (If I am its because of work and I didn't have time to eat!)

i love food! thats why only SW helps me... its the only thing i can do over a long period of time that doesnt restrict or bore me and allows me to eat as much as i fancy. its very easy to stick to and easy to get back on when you really fall off track. xxx

The only other diet I have tried and had success with is WW. It was when they done the No Count diet and I lost 2 stone. Obviously they nicked the idea from SW as it is more or less the same.

I had a very brief dabble with SW back in April and rejoined 4 weeks ago and I love it. So much freedom, lovely meals and treats everyday. What more could you ask for!!??!!
