aww such gorgeous animals !! :)

your mare has very unique markings on her flank and leg.. or is that the camera ?

i know nothing of grooming horses lol.. it looks like a patch of different pattern.. is that from clipping ?

She is truly beautiful.. I just love horses, i 'used' to ride.. but it has been years and it was only for recreation a few times to the dude ranch. Western is a bit different than English riding although I learned English.. making the transition was hard, probably why i got bucked off ! haha

You can see her clip clearer here.

It's where the winter coat is shaved off in certain areas. It's done to stop them sweating when they are exercised (bit like taking your coat off when you play football). We have to then replace the removed natural coat with a man made horse rug. Sorry if you already know why..

oh that's very interesting :) learn something new every day ! thanks.

My mum has a cat.. Charlotte.. she was born in a pipe.. she was the only survivor when they found her , she was surviving on roots and dirt and she had mites so bad she went deaf from them.. she's absolutely lovely and has a wonderful home now.. your Treacle (born in a drain) reminded me of her :) did you rescue him/her ?

Treacle was one of a litter that the farm (where I keep Zoe) cat produced. Farm cat was a stray that moved in. She had litter after litter, has now been spayed.
Treacles mum lives in Zoe's stable. How she doesn't get trodden on is amazing.
