*waves hello*
Hi,

I'm Judith and I only bite food!:)

I am 45, single, live with my dog called Pickle and am looking to lose 3.5 stone or thereabouts. I have done SW before and lost 5 stone and then I lost my way.... and after that tried a heck of a lot of other plans. Hey they can't be that bad as I'm down from the weight I was at my top weight! :)

I like my food, used to be vegetarian but now I eat the odd bit of meat. I'm kinda skeptical about EE as it seems too good to be true.

I love going to the gym and walking the dog.

I am looking for someone I can check in with, maybe daily, for that bit of extra support and friendship. Someone who can tell me it like it is, also smile, laugh and be tender. Someone with similar goals would be great but I'm easy (but don't tell that to everyone!)

If you have any questions just ask... There is probably something I left out.

Looking forward to hearing from you...

Judith & Pickle the wonder dog

PS At the moment I weigh in on Fridays but that is open to change.

Hi,

I'd love to be your buddy as I need one too.

I'm Aaliyah, 21 and married. I'm looking to lose around 4 stone. Slimming World is the first "proper" diet I've ever attempted and I'm finding it a bit hard at the moment so could do with some moral support and of course give back support as well. :)

I usually do green days and have a red day about once a week. I find EE too confusing so haven't attempted an EE day yet.

I do my weigh ins at home on a Thursday. *fingers crossed for tomorrow that I get a good loss*.

Do you have a goal date at all? Are you doing your weigh ins at home or do you go to class?

Hope your week is going well and good luck for the weigh in on Friday.

Hi i wouldnt mind joining both of u too if thats ok.
I joined SW 5 weeks ago and have lose 11lb until tonite when i put on 1.5lb but it is my star week so im not too concerned at the min.
I want to lose 2 stone 10 pounds!!!
I live with my bf and i have 3 kids ( 2 girls 18 and 2 and a boy 13).
I do EE but at the meeting tonite some where saying that they r going between all 3 and they all had big weight loses so i might try that next week.

Hi Aaliyah and Donna,

Hows things going with you both?

Are you snowed in yet? I walked into town today, all layered up ~ the snow wasn't that bad but it is getting icy underneath. I had to go to town to pay some money into the bank and I brought myself a set of scales whilst I was there - there is onlty so much undressing I can do in Boots. I was going to weigh at the gym but due to the snow I couldn't get in there today. The snow looks good, but....

So I will weigh myself tomorrow and then start the SW plan with avengence. Brought myself a pair of jeans from a charity shop - I want them to be large before I wear them out!

Must dig out my SW bookletts and stuff.... I know they are in here somewhere. I have the EE booklette but no recipe books for it. Think I will stick to green until I am more sure of myself. I lost 5 stone before doing just green so I know its doable.

Aaliyah how did you do when weighing in? Eager minds wants to know.

What were the best bits of last week/ worse bits?

Ah well..... think its time for a snooz3e and to listen to he Archers. I'm a big fan of them.

Talk to you later

Judith

Hi all

It was snowing pretty bad here this morning but it has all just lay on top of the inch of so of solid ice making it a nitemare to walk on. Thank God i only live 2 mins from work so its not too bad.

Im on the extra easy plan but some1 last nite at the group went on the red or is it called original?? She lost 6lb in a week and got her Club 10 and reached her target!!!! Was annoyed with myself for putting on 1.5 lb this week. Im not going to beat myself up too much about it though. Well, not til next week anyway. Hopefully then i will have lost it again plus a bit more. Cant wait to get my 1 stone award and shiny lol.

The worst bit about last week was definitely a customer bringing in a tin or Roses for us for Xmas and of course the boss opened them and left them beside the til!!!!! Really not a good idea. I just said the usual '1 wont hurt'. Oh but it really did.
So im stuck back into in again and hopefully back to losing before the dreaded Xmas dinner.

How r u both doing???

Donna xx

I hear you on the Roses front. I do voluntary work with older people and arround this time of year they can tend to give gifts - which is sweet - trouble is that its mainly sweets. I don't want to refuse and chucking them away goes against the grain and I don't know anyone to give them to.... and if I have one I'll have them all. Any ideas as to how I can cope with this, if it happens this year with the weather and all?

Its getting colder here. I've been outside three times today and the snow is getting more compacted and icy every time. Makes walking hard work. I've fallen twice - expect a bruise tomorrow. I was walking Pickle at the time and her pulling on the lead doesn't help me much either!

Having a lager tonight - first weigh in tomorrow and then I will be getting more than serious. Even defrosting milk out of the freezer as well.... what more could you want?

Hope you are both keeping warm. Lots of layers helps me!

Judith

Hi both,

The snow here in London is starting to melt but it's still freezing outside! How did your weigh in go Judith?

I lost one pound this week yay! I'm happy with that the week before I STS. I'm hoping next week to work my butt off to get 2lbs or even 3lbs if I am lucky!

I usually find that I get half way through the week and I feel like having a naughty day. I must resist the temptation it's hard!

How are you finding EE and SW Donna?

I love Roses and Quality Streets mmm. I try to keep them out of sight so I don't scoff them all. If I have a chocolate graving I tend to have an Options Hot chocolate and that usually sorts me out.

I'm off to Wigan for the weekend to see some family so it's gonna be a bit of challenge seeing as we're going out for a meal as well. Hopefully will stick to my syns but only tomorrow will tell.

I hope you're both having a good weekend so far.

Aaliyah

Hi Aaliyah and Donna,

The snow is melting round here - yes! I took Pickle out for a walk yesterday a couple of times and landed on my buttttttt a couple of times. Think I've got a bruise! Pickle just stands there and looks as if to say "what the heck are you doing down there?"

Hope you manage to get to Wigan Aaliyah ~ travel careful. Have a good time there as well. Sometimes visiting family can be fraught but sometimes kinda fun! You could always flexible syn for the weekend. That way you are still on plan and some people actually lose as well.

I am having a green day ~ I have yet to dig deep and find those SW books to get me on the straight and narrow. I will be having a curry this evening with loads of veggies. I have brought myself a rice cooker for the mircowave so will experiement with rice as well. This could be fun.

Anyway, guess its time for me to wrap up warm and take Pickle for her walk. She has so much energy. And she is not a small dog - medium sized so takes a bit of walking.

Hope you both are having a jolly weekeknd and I will talk to you later

Judith

PS My weigh in went great. But I am taking this asb a new start as up till today I have been playing arround with calorie counting. So onwards and downwards I go.

JUdith

Hello both,

How are you doing?

Hope you have not fallen or anything and it isn't too freezing where you are. I've been out for a couple of short short walks today with Pickle and the pavements are awful - real;ly icy. The road isn't that bad but Pickle will pull me onto the path!

Another green day for me today. And I used my rice steamer for the first time. It made masses (good job i'm green today) but it was perfectly made. I was a bit skeptical but..... super job. I can see me having many more curries now. I tend to make a curry with curry paste, a tin of chopped tomatoes and chuck whatever veggies I have on hand.

I have some meat in the freezer so may try a red day, or an EE one during the week. Money is scarce so until a week Tuesday its a case of eating up all I have in my freezer and cupboards..... fresh fruit and veg might be off the menu.

So its back to work (voluntary work) for me tomorrow. And back to the gyms. I go to Curves and also to la fitness. I go to la fitness for the classes more than the gym, but I still try to get my money's worth out of both. Tomorrow night it is yoga. I've only been a few times and I am sure my body isn't supposed to go into such positions. Might have a hot shower after yoga which is a side benefit of la fitness.

Guess it'll be time on the phones tommorrow aski9ng elderly people how they are. ... someones got to do it. There is another volunteer who is older and she works four days a week - and this week she is due to go on a tinsel and turkey week at Eastbourne - I hope she managed to get there.

Anyway I'm going to go and see whats in the freezer for supper..... and see what I can have tomorrow. Must rememebr to get some milk out of the freezer.

Hope this coming week is kind to you.

Luv

Judith

Hi everyone

I think Slimming World and Extra Easy is great. U can eat basically everything u want (within reason). I love my rice and pasta so it suits me. You can eat as much of it as u want.

I went out today to drive to the in laws and my car refused to start!! Theres a mechanic who works in the garage in the next street so hopefully i will give him a shout tomoro. Fingers crossed its only a flat battery. With all the snow and ice over here id be surprised if it had have started 1st time. It was only moted 2 weeks ago so it should be nothing serious.

Its hard this time of year on any diet so when u see them sweets its hard to refuse. Just keep thinking of that special dress or that pair of trousers u want to get into. Thats wot im doing so im hoping its gonna work. Anyone any other suggestions??? Good for u Aaliyah for loing 1 pound. I think any lose is good no matter how big or small.

Well im off now to watch Four Christmases. Speak soon and good luck.

Donna xx

Just wrote a post and it dissapeared when I tried to post it.

How was Wigan?

Hows the car?

What you both up to?

I've been off track these past two days but am getting back on track. Even had a veggie curry tonight instead of a bar of chocolate. Took Pickle for a walk and brought an apple... small steps like thatn means I'm getting back on track!

Walked Pickle this evening - its cold out but most of the snow has gone.... just icy patches left. Hope it warms up soon even though I am glad I have money on my gas meter for heating.

Going to post this whilst the goings good - you should have seen the other post I did, it was brill! :)

Hi you three

Do you mind if I join you in here?

I started SW at the end of October and have 2-3 stone left to loose (I've given myself a target of 9.5 stone, but really should be getting down to 8.5).

I'll try and look in every day, but sometimes work and dancing get in the way (especially the work).

Bit about me - I'm 38 and live with my husband in a village between York and Leeds.

I belly dance twice a week (my husband likes me to see him occasionally otherwise it would be more - and sometime is:rolleyes:), during the summer I do medieval re-enactment (as you can see from my hobbies I like to play dress up).

Up until my mid 20's I was always the skinny one (I could still fit in age 10 clothes at 19) when I started to put weight on everyone told me I looked so much better, unfortunately I didn't stop before I went too far the other way. Over the last 8 years I keep trying to loose weight, but never seem to stay below 11 stone for longer than a couple of months. Hopefully, this will be the last time and will change my eating habits for life.

I'm now at the point where in most diets I start to loose focus and having some extra support as well as being able to help others along would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,

and welcome Kate..... the more the merrier I say! What about it ladies?

I was born in Yorkshire and lived there when I was a little girl. I'm now a Soft Southerner to my shame!

So how are you all doing?

I manged to put a pound on in my first week... I know I didn't keep to plan but its a bit disheartening. I weighed myself last Saturday as I brought my scales on Friday. But it was my intention to weigh myself on Friday mornings. I weighed this Friday and found I had put a pound on. Mind you I weighed myself today and found I had lost half a pound from last week. I wasn't sure which to go with but I suppose I'd better be honest.

I stayed in bed a load today so had my breakfast and my syns and now I'm going back to bed. I haven't got it in me to make a curry but I might open up a can of chick peas!

Saturday is my rest day for walking etc. So only walked Pickle a little. As long as she gets her dinner after shes happy enough.

Only a fortnight before Christmas.... will have to get some food shopping in. I get money next on Tuesday so I'll be a fuller and happier bunny rabbitt then and will buy a delivery from asda.

Be good to know how you all are doing.... please don't get frozen.... don't slip slide away and don't get snowed in!

Judith & Pickle

Afternoon

My parents were southern softies who moved up to Yorkshire so everyone laughs at me as I feel the cold.

This week has been really hard, I'm dreaming of chocolate and trying to find excuses to eat bad food, I've had a terrible week at work and wanted chinese of Friday, last night we went into York and I wanted pizza. Thankfully my husband has kept me on track, but it's not stopping my thoughts.

So far on the diet my weight loss has been pretty good, which has helped keep me on track, however, it now seems to have slowed so it's no longer giving me the same buzz, which makes it harder for me t keep on track.

I still need to plan the menus for Christmas, but at least I know how many people for now, but there's no way I'm facing the shops (shoppers are one of the reasons I moved out of the centre of York). This year Christmas will all be done on line.

We have very little snow left now (it was knee deep, then again that's my knee deep which some people say is only ankle deep on a normal person), unfortunately our boiler broke on Friday so things are a little cold in the house and the engineer doesn't know what's wrong yet. Which also isn't helping with my dance practice for my performance next Saturday as I don't want to get out from under my quilt.

Hi Aaliyah, Donna and Kate,

Hows it going with you all?

Kate I feel for you without a boiler. I have gas heating and have a gas card and at the begining of the frezing weather ran out of credit on it. For a couple of days it was layers and cuddling up with Pickle that got me through! As soon as I had some money in me paw I was up to get credit on it like a shot I can tell you. No wonder you want to keep under the quilt. I saw an advert in a shop window for Belly Dancing and thought of you..... next time I go by UI might read the advert and see where it is.

Had a mega sleep in today... keeps me out of tropuble any way. Didn't eat SW friendly foods ~ I got a small loan from Wonga and the only shops that were open were not SW friendly and I had to have my fix of diet cola.:)

Gave Pickle her walk... and her dinner afterwards. I'm not sure which she gets most excited about. She sure makes sure I don't dwardle with her pulling and that builds up my arm muscles!

Tomorrow lunch time might be difficult to negotiate foodwise as I may be up the hosptial with a client and as I recall they obnly have a small cafe there which isn't health friendly by anyones standards..... whicte bread sandwiches and pastry might be the order of the day.

I'm planning something nice for dinner/supper tomorrow ~ a pasta bolognaise with Quorn~ so that is something to look forward to and something I might not be able to mess up! My cooking skills can be lacking sometimes!

Until then my friends....

Keep your toes as warm and dry as possible

Judith

We're on oil (gas only came down our street in that couple of years when a new estate was built) which means we have to buy up front with a minimum £300 delivery , so glad I got saved up for some before the winter set in, just wish we could use it.

Belly dancing gets everywhere :sign0151:.

Good luck on the food front at the hosptial tomorrow. I had a weekend like that last weekend, I was at a pontins in Wales with about 20 minutes to grab food, so no time to go cook, so ended up with the worst chicken burger I'd ever had (well not the worst - it was equally as bad as the one I had from there last year) breaking diet and not enjoying it is not a good feeling.

Not sure what the hubby is doing for dinner tomorrow, but know it will include the beef that's in the freezer, and probaby a pasta salad and fruit for lunch.

Shopping today was bad, I was out with a friend who I accidently followed down the chocolate asile (I've not been down one in 8 weeks), it was hard, but I didn't pick up the large bar of Milka Dime I've been dreaming of . I just went and got myself a cherry options which I've just had - 3 syns of yummyness and the only ones I've had today.

Sleep well, and I'll check in when I get back from class tomorrow night (it's a special one time only belly dance / latin fusion class), unless by some miracle I get chance at work.

Hello, how are you all today?

Judith hope your lunch at the hosptial wasn't too bad and that you've enjoyed your pasta.

Managed to resist the egg butty and biscuits offered at work today.:angel09: So far I've had no syns so I think I'll take a chai latte to bed for 5.

Donna and Aaliyah, how are you two getting on?

Hello all,

Sorry for being AWOL. I think it's pretty fair to say that last week was totally off plan for me dunno what happened but lets just say the past is the past and hopefully it won't happen again. I'm not gonna have a weigh in this week as I know it'll be a gain so will just weigh in as normal next week.

How are things going with you three?

Evening everyone

I'm feeling much better now that I don't have to work for 4 days and we have heating.

Not holding out much hope for loosing weight this week, I get weighed every day (I'm a little obsessive) and I've put a pound on so far. Don't know why, I've not eaten much this week as I've been far too busy at work, and I've not gone over my syns on any day (in fact most days I haven't had any). I would feel so much better about it if I knew I'd been off plan and enjoyed it.

Good luck for next week uoyevoli.
